Caritas; Wednesday [02/12].

Summer was in a very different place than she was last time the island was beset by this particularly sexy bout of whimsy, which mostly just meant that she was slightly annoyed and reluctant to head into the bar that day, but she figured it was good to get, you know, some fresh air and be a productive member of society or whatever. She did come prepared, though, repurposing one of her spray bottles that she usually used on Pancakes when she tried to eat plants and keeping it full of ice water to spray at people who were getting a little too...well...you know...

This was mostly to use on Tino, yes, and, at one point, she did have to threaten to upgrade the ice water to literal acid. So that was fun.

Harley had only been back in the arms of Fandom and its pollen from an extended mainland weekend for less than a day, but she was already full of extra bouncy energy of the kind that set her bounding into Caritas and up to the bar.

"Summer! Hi! Can I get that cocktail double?"

Yeah, Summer was already bracing herself for a pretty...interesting time once Harley bounced in, that was for sure. It was somehow both a good reminder of why she wanted to still come in today and a good reminder of why she probably shouldn't have, all in one neat little knot of reason and hormones.

"You absolutely can," she answered, and went to start on whipping that up for her without another moment's pause. "How you doing, Harley?"

"Great!"

Because nothing said 'great' quite like seeming like you were about to vibrate out of your skin!

"I'm pretty sure the island is on drugs again! Or emitting drugs, or kinda-sorta dealing them? One of those! It's fun." So far. It was fun so far.

Yeah, Summer knew that vibrating feeling all too well and it was easy enough to recognize, which was why she did not take her time in mixing up that drink for Harley and sliding it over.

"Dealing," she offered, "would suggest we're paying for them, and, well, actually, no. Some people definitely will be come," heh, "the end of the weeks, so exactly. That is exactly what the island is doing."

"Paying?" Harley asked, with a big raise of her eyebrows. "Oh, I don't intend to be paying for nothing."

Wait.

"Okay maybe this drink. But aside from that!"

Surely there'd be no consequences for anything she might do this week?

"I appreciate you at least paying for your drink and whatever others follow, too, for that matter," said Summer, with a bit of a smirk for the clarification. "And who knows? Maybe you won't be paying for anything else. But there's always at least someone suffering from a major hangover of regret once the air finally clears."

"I like the cut of your jib!" Navaan declared. "And a coupla other things, too."

"Thank you," Harley replied, her lips just about to curve into a smirk when she got distracted by curiosity. "What's a jib, anyway? I should know, since I got a good cut of it!"

"Tits!" Navaan said, absolutely incorrect but very confident. "I was being fancy and saying you have great tits!"

"Oh!" Harley replied, taking that in stride because, well, it was a correct assessment. One Harley was now verifying by briefly looking down at her own chest, yes. "This top does really bring out the best in the girls, don't it?"

"You also mean tits, right?" Navaan had to check. "Not literal girls?"

Look, Harley, Navaan was from a deeply weird comic.

"Of course I mean tits!" Harley declared. Loudly.

Although it was followed by a thoughful look around the bar.

"I mean, a buncha actual girls here are looking mighty fine, too, but my top can only take credit for so much, yanno?"

"You coulda meant you as a top," Navaan pointed out. "You know, like, this top--" She gestured to herself "--really does bring out the best in the girls. See? Still accurate."

Well, mostly. Navaan was a switch. But that just meant she could top!

Harley tilted her head like she needed to ponder something about that. "I dunno, feels like it would be a better selling point to be bringin' the best into the girls."

Navaan mirrored her, clearly now considering this. "Okay, but when you're giving someone an orgasm, are you bringing something outta them or into them?"

Important philosophical debate right here.

"Could be both!" Harley pointed out. "Depends on what you're using!"

"Well, I do tend towards a lot of stuff," Navaan said, setting her doctor bag down on the bar with an audible thunk. "You can just use what the gods gave you, but where's the fun in that?"

"You brought a bag?!" Harley asked. Again, loudly.

Her face went through a journey of emotions, but settled on 'impressed'.

"Wow, I really gotta step up my game."

"It's my doctor bag!" Navaan said, pulling out fuzzy handcuffs, a bottle of rum, a decorated jar full of murky pond water and leeches, a handful of acorns, and some rope. "I'm a doctor, I never leave home without it."

"I'm a doctor too," Harley replied, leaning in to try and peer into the bag in question - and also look at her, not questioning that Navaan was also a doctor, "but I almost never bring a bag. Anywhere."

Game clearly recognized game!

She pulled out her plague doctor mask and set it aside, giving Harley a good chance to examine the contents of that bag. "Well, there's your problem," she said, tsking slightly. "How are you going to be prepared for a medical emergency?" Holding up a pair of bolt cutters to better illustrate what she meant.
