Caritas; Wednesday [02/12].

Summer was in a very different place than she was last time the island was beset by this particularly sexy bout of whimsy, which mostly just meant that she was slightly annoyed and reluctant to head into the bar that day, but she figured it was good to get, you know, some fresh air and be a productive member of society or whatever. She did come prepared, though, repurposing one of her spray bottles that she usually used on Pancakes when she tried to eat plants and keeping it full of ice water to spray at people who were getting a little too...well...you know...

This was mostly to use on Tino, yes, and, at one point, she did have to threaten to upgrade the ice water to literal acid. So that was fun.

No, he was walking into Caritas as usual for a Wednesday. Maybe with a more purposeful stride than previous pollen weeks or at least a more confident one.

A grin and then a kiss hello that was definitely more thorough than usual.

Did 'more confident' pretty much just mean with any amount of actual confidence at all?

There definitely may have been a spared thought about just crawling over the bar between them added to the usual kiss hello between them, but Summer did stay on her side of it (for now) and settled back with a grin.

"Not yet," she dutifully responded, "although one of these days, I might just have to make sure that's a different answer. How're you doing? The break for me making jello wasn't too torturous for you, was it?"

A part of her definitely hoped it was at least a little torturous, though, let's be real.

"Starkers!" Someone was attempting to throw her arms around Stark in a hug. Clothing was still even involved so, really, Navaan was basically being a saint right now.

Sabine did not at all expect this year's sex pollen Caritas stop to go anything like the last one, but she also really needed to get out. And if other people were out, then hey.

"And not a single double entendre in the drink names," she stated. Was that good or bad? Unclear.

"Look," said Summer, "I don't need to do that to myself this year, let alone all of you guys. I gotta play it safe," she lifted up the spray bottle, rattling with fresh ice, "this time around. But how about you? How you holding up?"

Harley was at least almost sure she'd run into Sabine before, anyway. And if not, well, at least she'd mistaken her for someone else with a compliment.

Once Percy had heard that the pollen was the cause of certain... changes of behavior, he had pulled out his old mask and made some alterations to see if it could assist in perhaps clearing his mind of certain activities.

It of course wasn't working but Percy had not seen any empirical evidence to the contrary.

The mask had been a bit of a jumpscare when Summer turned around, but she played it off pretty well, taking a moment to lift an eyebrow and then allowing that, okay, yeah, no, that was actually a really good idea and then another idea about the particular shape of the mask flitted into her head and she was just going to shove that thought right back out before it could even begin to take off its shoes.

"Right," she said. "Lemme google real quick the 'best wines to drink with a straw.'"

But, instead of actually doing that, she was reaching for something and the straw.

"Or I could just introduce you to wine in a can."

Summer, wasn't the poor man already dealing with enough right now?

Whatever, it was his fault for even venturing out into the wild this week. She placed the bestrawed can in front of him and tilted her head and asked, "So how you holding up there, Perce?"

Harley had only been back in the arms of Fandom and its pollen from an extended mainland weekend for less than a day, but she was already full of extra bouncy energy of the kind that set her bounding into Caritas and up to the bar.

"Summer! Hi! Can I get that cocktail double?"

Yeah, Summer was already bracing herself for a pretty...interesting time once Harley bounced in, that was for sure. It was somehow both a good reminder of why she wanted to still come in today and a good reminder of why she probably shouldn't have, all in one neat little knot of reason and hormones.

"You absolutely can," she answered, and went to start on whipping that up for her without another moment's pause. "How you doing, Harley?"

"Aaaand why am I not surprised you make a triumphant return on this week in particular?" asked Summer, amused, but also totally preparing an expression of regret at having to break thew news of having joined less fun ranks this time around. "Welcome back, Navaan, and good luck out there. Not that you'll need it."

Listen, Liliana and Ignis had enough problems keeping their hands off of one another most weeks; trying to get anything done during pollen weeks when they remained in the same vicinity was a sheer impossibility. And so, Liliana had decided to give her paramour a few hours of peace this evening and had taken herself off to Caritas for a drink.

...Also, she liked it when he missed her. He tended to get creative.

Luckily for everyone involved, she hadn't yet become aware of one of the other patrons of the bar yet. "Well hello darlings," she purred, sauntering in and over to the bar. "I just have to have a bleeding heart."
