Caritas; Wednesday [02/12].

Summer was in a very different place than she was last time the island was beset by this particularly sexy bout of whimsy, which mostly just meant that she was slightly annoyed and reluctant to head into the bar that day, but she figured it was good to get, you know, some fresh air and be a productive member of society or whatever. She did come prepared, though, repurposing one of her spray bottles that she usually used on Pancakes when she tried to eat plants and keeping it full of ice water to spray at people who were getting a little too...well...you know...

This was mostly to use on Tino, yes, and, at one point, she did have to threaten to upgrade the ice water to literal acid. So that was fun.

"The week is treating me very well," he said, glancing over at Summer.

The best of these weeks Stark had had, honestly.

"Thank you. You look well."

Yes, 'well.' Totally the word that best described Liliana.

"Well?" Liliana wrinkled her nose. "Come now, Stark. You sound like you're talking to your eighty-year old maiden aunt you're visiting for tea to remain in her will. You can do better. Something more accurate, less anemic."

"I sound like what?" You'd lost him, Liliana. He didn't have an aunt and surely wasn't in any wills!

Well, not really. He was still attentive!

"You do look well. Well satisfied. And well pleased with yourself. And lovely, as always."

"Much better," Liliana said, preening a bit. "And yes, I am all three. As per usual, though I must say, this week makes at least the first two truer than most."

She took a sip of her drink, smile going a little hazy. "And in a little while, I shall be returning home to reaffirm that as well."

Absence making the heart grow fonder there, Liliana?

"It's good to get out for some air," Stark said. Even if he had grumbled much more than usual about leaving Summer alone to tend to her jello today.

"And then very good to come back together."

How dare. She was just thinking of the truly excellent sex she'd been enjoying this week, thank you.

"Mmm. I'm giving Ignis the gift of some uninterrupted cooking time," she said. "I'll be amply rewarded upon my return home."

How was that different than any other week, Lili? Really?

"I'm sure you will be," Stark said after a moment of trying to think of something to say that wouldn't be too awkward.

And that was why the 'per usual'!

She just gave him a bright smile. "I'd go into details, but Ignis is a private man. Sadly for me, I do so love a brag."

"If I had to guess there isn't anyone on the island he would want to know about your relationship than he would me," Stark said.

Although Stark was thinking, idly, about how some version of him had had a child with some version of Ignis. Just idle curious thoughts.

Big words, considering there was currently a vampire sharing the bar with you, Stark.

"Mmm, I doubt he's ever considered it overall," she said with a small, secretive smile, considering a particular phone call and his gratitude that she'd verified he was by himself before launching into her idea. "I'm sure I'll wage war on that at some point."

"Better not to risk it. My well-being, I mean. I don't wish to upset him more than I already do."

By existing and all.

"Oh, I didn't mean you," Liliana said with a wave of her hand. "Whether you reconcile with Ignis or not is your affair. Though--have you asked Summer for her advice?"

"Advice on finding out about Ignis's love life? No."

Yes, he knew what she'd actually meant but this week did make thinking harder than usual.

"I don't think this is the correct time. For reconciliation."

"On the other hand, I would quite benefit if you did," she said, closing her eyes as she pictured Ignis working through his Stark-rooted aggravation this week. "Mmmm. Do let me know if you change your mind, darling. I'll want to be prepared."
