Caritas; Wednesday [02/12].

Summer was in a very different place than she was last time the island was beset by this particularly sexy bout of whimsy, which mostly just meant that she was slightly annoyed and reluctant to head into the bar that day, but she figured it was good to get, you know, some fresh air and be a productive member of society or whatever. She did come prepared, though, repurposing one of her spray bottles that she usually used on Pancakes when she tried to eat plants and keeping it full of ice water to spray at people who were getting a little too...well...you know...

This was mostly to use on Tino, yes, and, at one point, she did have to threaten to upgrade the ice water to literal acid. So that was fun.

Sabine did not at all expect this year's sex pollen Caritas stop to go anything like the last one, but she also really needed to get out. And if other people were out, then hey.

"And not a single double entendre in the drink names," she stated. Was that good or bad? Unclear.

"Look," said Summer, "I don't need to do that to myself this year, let alone all of you guys. I gotta play it safe," she lifted up the spray bottle, rattling with fresh ice, "this time around. But how about you? How you holding up?"

"Not as well as I'd like," she admitted. "It's been quiet, which actually makes me feel crazier."

"Nothing worse than an itch that you can't even get to to scratch," Summer noted, with a note of sympathy and a look to match, and a natural urge to want to help fix that, buuuut...

"If I see any good candidates come in," she said, "I'll be sure to nudge 'em your way, although, really, let's be honest, you probably won't need the help if they're here. And in these dark times, it's always good to remember that Dite's exists."

Dite's wasn't as fun but she wasn't going to say that. Desperate times and all.

"I appreciate the help. And until then, I'll need a whiskey."

It was still better than nothing! And if you weren't having a good time regardless, then, erm, probably a skill issue, at that point, tbh.

"Double?" she guessed.

"That'd be for the best," she nodded, grateful.

Summer nodded, safely, as she poured Sabine the drink and set it down with a nod.

"And there's plenty more where that came from."

Okay, and a wink. She couldn't help it, okay?? It wasn't her fault!

"Oh, I remember."

What did that even mean. Kanan would be facepalming in his grave if he had a grave.

"Oh, hey, your hair's still pretty!"

Harley was at least almost sure she'd run into Sabine before, anyway. And if not, well, at least she'd mistaken her for someone else with a compliment.

"I really should re-do mine soon!"

Sabine was pretty sure they had too. She also wasn't trying to question it.

"Thank you," she smiled. "Would you go with the same color or different?"

There was a flirting avenue here, she was sure of it.

"Hunh," Harley said, tilting her head and twirling a strand of hair around her fingers on the side that had the faded pink along the ends. "Yanno, I haven't even thought about it? So..."

Big shrug.

"I dunno! What do you think? Can ya envision me in new colors?"

She was wearing many of them, aside from the pink and pale blue split dye tips she had going on.

"I'm partial to pink," she admitted, looking her over. But also in a semi-professional artist capacity. "But a lavender maybe could really bring out your eyes."

Harley's mouth made a little 'o' shape. "Ooooh," she said, considering her hair again. "I haven't even thought about lavender! That could be cool! Could be like a whole new look for me."

"Though your current look is really good," Sabine told her. In case that was ever in question.

"Thank you!" Harley replied, preening, with a happy little shimmy of her shoulders. (You're welcome, Sabine.) "I feel it's real me, yanno? Nothin' getting dictated from the outside."

Yeah that had maybe happened in the past, don't worry about it.

That got a genuine smile out of her, because... look at her. "That's good. Not enough people think that way."

"You want a double entendre?" Navaan asked. "I can make that happen." She gave Sabine a long once over. "Like the great poet said, if I can hit once, then I can hit twice..."

"That almost doesn't even feel like an entendre," Sabine noted. "Which, for the record, is okay."

"No, no, I haven't gotten to the entendreing, yet," Navaan explained. "I'm showing you that I'm also cultured."

By quoting Lil' Kim, yes.

"Ahhh. All right," Sabine said. "Entendre me."

Wow.

"Well, if I said you've got a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?" Navaan asked.

"I could be convinced." Didn't even need to really think about it. Sabine remembered Spin the Bottle last year.

"Well, think about it this way," Navaan said, leaning against the bar. "You're gonna wake up uncomfortable tomorrow. Do you want it to be because you're wound up and frustrated? Or do you want it to be because you're sore in places you've forgotten you had, with that bone-deep fucked for too long ache?"

Again, wow.

"All right, that is effective."

And she was going to have to finish her drink because how did someone even turn that down?
