Caritas; Wednesday [05.07].
Summer had been sent something yesterday that made her absolutely squeal with delight once she realized what it was, and she was still riding that glee and anticipation by the time she came into the bar that evening. Which had the added bonus of having Tino being suspicious and skeptical about her good mood, for a change, which was really nice. It meant he was generally avoiding her, because he, like she so often did with him, figured if it was something making her so damn pleased, then it had to be something he was better off not even knowing about.
It didn't help that Summer noticed this behavior and started acting even more smug and mysteriously satisfied just to make him question and doubt and worry more. Because, really, at this point, he was just asking for it.

Re: The Bar - 05/07.
But he'd still made sure to get to the island early, drop his stuff off at the Arms, go for a walk, call Dane, and stare at a paper bag for a few seconds too long... Before finally getting over himself and making the short trip to Caritas.
"Long time no see," he said, sinking onto a stool with an insouciance that was only about 75 percent bullshit.
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
But that, obviously, was an absolutely unsustainable premise, so it was dropped immediately as she then said, "Welcome back. Did you decide to go with the whole 'maybe I should take some classes' thing after all, or is this just a spur of the moment visit just, oh, I don't know," Summer's own insouciance was 100% bullshit and very clearly so, "apropos of nothing in particular..."

Her smile then shifted back to Jack. "So," she said, "what can your obviously favorite bartender get for you tonight, and will it help if I mention it's on the house tonight."
A paaaause.
"No reason."

"Summer," he said, walking up. It was less formal than the hello, at least. Hi was going to take a while if it ever reappeared.
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
"James," she responded back, in kind, although hers came with more of a twitch of a smirk in the corner of her mouth. "Full flight tonight, I take it?"
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
"Unless you think there's something I should avoid?"
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
Almost a real smile as he picked up that shot to start.
"If it weren't I might worry I needed a magnet."
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
Oh,god, what if brunette Summer dyed her hair? Summer had thrown it out fasceously, but now she was honestly a little worried about the implications of that kind of thing.
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
Although he might not be close enough to notice a dye job? Or maybe he would be and that would be a clue? Or...
"If I didn't notice..."
That would be terrible. He might throw himself into the sea.

Clearly, it was time to rejoin the world.
Now freshly shaven, hair meticulously styled, and dressed with his usual precision, he was ready for a proper night out.
"Just from the name alone, I feel morally obligated to try the Dark and Thunderstruck," Percy remarked as he settled onto a barstool. "Even if I haven’t the faintest clue what’s in it."

Re: The Bar - 05/07.
This was fine. Perfectly fine.
"I shall gamble with destiny and order it blind," he replied, matching the grin. "Though I confess, I would have looked up the recipe, had my phone not chosen to rebel against me of late."
He produced an object that, at some point, had been a phone. The touchscreen was mostly intact but the casing had clearly been replaced with something he had forged himself. The screen in the upper corner was fractured, webbed with cracks.
"My fault entirely," he said. "I may have left it a touch too close to the forge last week. I believe your retail establishment deals in replacements?"
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
Just wait until someone got around to simply P!
Summer's brows went up with the absolute tragedy that Percy was presenting her with, shaking her head a little as she started to mix his drink. "Yeah," she said, "my retail establishment definitely deals in replacements, and it also deals in warranty policies that might also be relevant to your interests. Also..."
She paused, which was also a good moment to set down his drink in a more narratively dramatic fashion.
"Looking it up would have been cheating."
Re: The Bar - 05/07.
He inspected the drink with an appraising eye. "I will say, it’s quite aesthetically pleasing—"
A sip followed. He gave a small, satisfied nod.
"—and delicious, as it turns out. I imagine I’ll be ordering another before long."
