Now that Summer had an actual property for her new storefront on Ravnica (with everything pretty much set up from the last business to carry over extremely well into her business), she was itching to get back there and get started with making this latest dream a reality, but, with the timing, she was definitely thinking she could get in one last shift in at Caritas before her attention shifted entirely to other enterprises.

Well. It was all still jello, but...you know what she meant.

But you better believe that if this was her last shift for a while, that she was going to go out with an absolutely disgusting bang.

"I didn't want to hold any punches before I go fliting off to terrorize yet another populous with my creative genius," Summer confirmed, the grin turning toward a pleased, proud smirk. "So...pretentious soda tonight?"

Rey had a portal out after this, but she had to get Summer time in first.

Even if she did completely just stop in her tracks when she saw the board.

Don't ask what motivated Jack to speak to anyone but Summer at the bar for once. Maybe it was Summer leaving, and the resulting cloud of nostalgic feelings. Maybe it was the realization his own time on the island would come to an end again in just a few weeks.

Maybe it was just--

"Hey, didn't I spot you doing drills in the park the other day? Didn't want to yell 'good form' and distract you while you were swinging deadly weapons around, but..." Beat. "... Also that was not a euphemism, I just want to be clear, that was pretty sharp."

Rey didn't often socialize outside of Summer on these nights because Wednesdays, but she did recognize him.

"Thanks," she said with a little smile. "You can distract me, it's okay. Are you the guy who was doing it the day before?"

"I am," Jack agreed. "Jack Rand, though half the island still knows me at Atton." He lifted his drink. "Which is a long story I won't bore you with. You're Rey, right? The Jedi Anakin's been teaching?"

And what really got Summer every time was how there could still, apparently, be any element of surprise still left in this.

"Not made of actual teeth," Summer offered encouragingly when she saw the look on Rey's face. "Although, real talk, what actual jello is made of isn't that much better..."

"Never tell me." She was a raccoon, she'd definitely eat it anyway. "What the hell?"

"Oh, you know," Summer was beaming far too much to ever pull of nonchalantness, but that didn't stop her from trying with the sing-song voice and the shrugging wave of her hand, "just a few things I've had in my back pocket for a while and figured tonight was a good time to show them off. Remind everyone of what they'll be missing while I'm gone."

Was the cocktail containing malort more or less horrifying than the Jello shots? Only time would tell.

"Hello, Rey," Stark said giving a little wave of greeting.

Said knowing that it was maybe a loaded question today.

"Hi," Stark said softly when he walked in and towards his usual stool.

He looked at the specials board, eyebrow going up, but decided against saying anything else. For the moment.

"No," Summer responded back cheerfully, "not yet."

And, well, if he wasn't going to say anything, Summer was just going to stick with the usual in setting out in front of him a full flight of jello shots, soon to be followed by an excellent cocktail.

"How's it going, Stark?"

That response got a small smile out of Stark.

"Better before I saw these," Stark said, nodding towards the shots. "They all sound...gross."

They really did. And one looked like teeth.

Raiden had but one question: "Are there actual teeth in the teeth?" He didn't even sound like it was necessarily a dealbreaker.

Summer had expected at least one person to ask that question, honestly, and she was not at all surprised that the person to get it out was Raiden.

"No," she said, following it up with the only person this might actually be sincere for, "sorry. Just made to look like teeth, but, I have to tell you. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but..."

A little set of jello teeth was now being set in front of him.

"I think I did a pretty good job of making it pretty questionable."

"Disturbingly realistic," Raiden agreed, then picked up the teeth and sniffed them--and then shrugged and shoved them in his mouth and started chewing.
