Icebreaker Party- Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty had put a lot of thought into the party tonight, so she'd tried to give people conversation starters for the icebreaker party. So there were random decorative fish hanging from the ceiling. Just a nonsense thing people might comment on. And there were plenty of drinks!

And upon arriving, everyone would be able to grab a pen and a bingo card, which had very simple instructions:

Find people who can check off the squares!
Write their names down, get a bingo!
Person with the most bingos gets their tab cleared for the night!

Come one, come all! Strike up some conversations! Make some friends! At least learn some names!

Dressing up for the occasion meant that Caleb was wearing his newest of three shirts that he owned. He'd bought it in Greece and he thought it was very nice. It was just a shade lighter than Haint Blue.

Though he hadn't been planning on drinking anything fancy tonight, he got himself an "Old Friend". He couldn't resist the name.

Henry was not, by any stretch of the imagination, dressed in anything anyone might consider fancy, with her leather jacket, ripped jeans, and t-shirt with the logo of a band she may or may not actually listen to.

She also wasn't drinking alcohol at the moment, preferring to stick with a Coke.

Pam had only just returned from Gotham, and honestly, she'd just ducked into the bar for a cup of tea before she headed over to Pick Your Poison.

Hence her split amusement-bemusement as she watched everyone head towards the back room.

After talking about it on the radio, like Arden was going to miss out on showing up? Not at all! She had herself a Coke with a twist of lime - she didn't go near alcohol, but she didn't have to, like, look like a square - and grabbed a bingo card, looking to see which ones she counted for and who she could think of off the bat for the others.

Jon had a hard time believing he was actually being social, but here he was. He ordered an Old Friend and tried not to clutch it too hard as he looked around, reminding himself he knew most everybody here.

Caleb looked at the card, looking over some of the squares and noting which ones he himself qualified for. And trying to determine which ones he wanted to keep secret.

Rey wasn't dressed fancy, but she had gotten a drink that she'd just sip on all night. She was looking at her card and she did fit quite a few things! But she was also hoping she didn't have to explain how she could check off anyone's 'died at least once' square.

Gregorith was a bit distracted as he'd just noticed a little ball of matted cat hair stuck to his sweater. He couldn't remember the last time he'd come into contact with a cat, but he was sure he'd washed this shirt more than once over the course of that time.

Incredible. It was almost as good as glitter.

Stark who would check back on this in the morning, had grabbed a Public Enemy #1 because it amused him. Several of his friends could have been called that at one time or another.

He was looking at his card, wondering how much it would be cheating to cross off things for himself. A lot, he was pretty sure.

Sure, Kitty was behind the bar at times tonight, but she also wanted to play.

And she kind of wanted to get an actual bingo but she didn't need the prize. She was just feeling competitive over nothing.

She had to admit she was uncertain that she would find anyone wearing anything particularly fancy, modern standards of fashion being what they were and all. Perhaps if Mr. Stark showed up, there might be hope?

Because when half of 3MD is people saying they want to get out more, you make it happen. Up early so as many people as possible have an opportunity to ping in, and as long as people are still willing to play, I don't care how long it goes.

And don't feel like you need to have super long threads. "Do you check any of the squares?" "Yeah, that one. Do you?" is fine.
