Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

Chloe grinned back brightly. "Yes, but a girl can never hear that too often on prom night. You look very hot yourself, you know. Has Veronica seen how well you clean up?"

"No, I don't think she has," Weevil said. "Think she'll be shocked?"

"Well, I do say so. So there." Chloe giggled. "In case I haven't mentioned this enough? I'm really glad you're here with me tonight."

Chloe blushed and clung tighter to Weevil's arm. Yes, this was definitely better than last year's prom.

"Want to get something to drink before it all gets too heavily spiked?"
