Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

"It's not really that surprising at this point, but you just don't ever see it happen." Peter shrugged. "What kind of dancing works for a song like this? Well, besides some kind of spontaneous dance off, obviously."

Peter followed Zero's lead. Vaguely. It was moderately organized flailing, really. "That works."

"So, how was detention? Fun or terribly traumatic?"

Zero laughed and boogied. "It wasn't bad. Kind of fun, actually."

"I'm glad to hear that. What did you do to get it anyway? Or were you one of the lottery people?" Peter asked while getting down.

"Lottery. First time in my life I didn't even do anything and I still got in trouble." Zero shook her moneymaker.

"I'm pretty sure Dean Zordon is running the lottery just to screw with us at this point," Peter said. He was... dancing poorly, for he had run out of clever ways to say it. "And I think he's doing announcements so early for the same reason."

"I just pull the pillow over my head and go back to sleep." The song was about over, so she asked, "Do you want some punch?"

"Anything to get away from this song before it gets worse," Peter said. Whether he was talking about the song itself or his dancing was open to interpretation. "Lead the way!"
