Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

Okay, the photographer was continuing to insist. Nadia raised an eyebrow at Walter questioningly.

Should they give this guy what he wanted?

Walter was awfully tempted to tell the pushy photographer that she wasn't anyone's sister; he wasn't even anyone's brother.

She bit her lip and shrugged slightly. Nadia was a very cute boy. Wasn't she supposed to be trying everything?

This probably wasn't quite what Pip had had in mind.

Walter drew back and looked at the photographer. "Good enough now?"

Most of the blood that would normally be fueling things like, say, speech was doing something . . . else.

Fortunately, this definitely kept Nadia from blushing.
