Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

"I don't know, the second was worse," Cameron points out. "Close your ears and pretend it's another one?" He suggests as he moves closer.

"Or do the twist?" He might have followed that up with a small demonstration.

Jaye laughs. "Oh my god, no."

"Tango? Samba? Salsa? I have no clue how any of those go," he laughs and shrugs.

"Okay, I refuse to believe anyone doesn't know how to even jokingly tangoo," she says, eyeing him suspiciously. "You just... I don't know, move."

"Okay, so I can handle jokingly," he's intend on showing it too as he steps up to Jaye and holds his hand out.

Jaye facepalms, but takes his hand anyway.

She'd done it to herself really. He wraps his arm around her waist and holds their hands out in front of them and then leads Jaye off around the dancefloor in a tango. A really fast tango as omgwtfwhohiredthisband.

She is tangoing at prom with her ex-date and she's still sober.

She is now planning out the phone call to Mahandra tomorrow.

Cameron does the fancy turn around thing to swap directions too and kinda wishes he'd brought a rose to go between his teeth. He does bring them to a halt a bit later. "You know, I think if we're tangoing, we might as well just dance fast."

"But this makes us bigger dorks."

"Okay,but if we're going for dorks, you should do the twist with me," he doesn't really wait as he starts doing the twist.

"Yeah, then you're a bigger dork than me. You win the competition."

He laughs. "Do I get a prize?" He asks and reaches for her hand again to get her to dance with him.

"I can steal back the 'Dork' shirt I gave Peter," she offers.

Cameron rolls his eyes. "A second hand gift?" And as she's not cooperating, he snags her other hand.

"I can get you another one, if you're going to be so picky."

"Nah, wouldn't want to put you through that much trouble." He then does his best to do some cool and funky dance moves in the hopes that it will inspire Jaye.

Jaye giggles. "Work it!"

"I'm doing all the work here," Cameron whines, not that it actually makes him stop. Nuh huh.

"But you're totally more entertaining," she points out.

"Double the fun," he counters.
