Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

[ooc: Wait for the OCD threads or suffer my wrath. Done! But please wait for the music threads to go up before dancing. Prom II will be going up in about two hours. Later.]

Oh look. Hand is slowly sneaking back, seeing how far it can go again.

It's got a mind of its own, that hand. Hopefully it doesn't turn evil and we have to hack it off with a chainsaw.

Because there's an ex-teacher who would not appreciate that, apparently.

Pip eyed her. "Just making sure. I thought I saw the hint of a smile while we were discussing it."

"Couldn't I have been smiling because I was enjoying myself?" she asked innocently. "I'm wearing a pretty dress, had a nice dinner, I'm dancing, and I finally have a date tall enough that I can wear heels and still have to look up."

Pip laughed. "Fair enough, fair enough. And you do look amazing in that dress, in case I didn't mention it. When was the last time you had a date that you could wear the heels for?"

"You didn't and thank you." She paused for a long moment as she thought. ". . . I think I could get away with heels when I was eigth grade," she decided finally. "Well, anything taller than an inch, at least." She paused for another moment before adding, "You don't look so bad yourself, you know."
