Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

[ooc: Wait for the OCD threads or suffer my wrath. Done! But please wait for the music threads to go up before dancing. Prom II will be going up in about two hours. Later.]

"I agree. But he told us an Inuit story. That kind of helped," Rory said wisely.

"I think he told an Inuit story when he lectured in my sociology class. Seems to be a thing with him, I guess," Peter said. Very wisely.

"They're very deep. They have, you know, morals and stuff," Rory said.

"And igloos," Peter added.

"And sometimes weetiny puppies," Rory said.

"And sleds that a whole bunch of the weetiny puppies pull, for they are mighty weetiny puppies," Peter said.

"And snow," Rory added for clarification. "There's usually snow, too."

"Well, of course. It's Canada. Nothing but snow up there," Peter admitted. "And moose."

"And poutine," Rory said. "And candy that's like M&Ms but not because they're called Smarties."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"You lost me there. I have no clue what poutine is. Is it a kind of chicken or something?" Peter asked.

"It's fries with cheese curds and gravy," Rory explained.

"Why?" Peter asked.

"Canadians are weird."

Peter thought of the only Canadian he knew. "Definitely weird."

The haircuts alone made sure of that.

"Though very pretty," Rory amended, thinking of the only Canadian she knew.

Peter thought of the Canadian she was thinking of. Okay, technically, he knew two Canadians. And they did have one thing in common. "And they wear nice hats."

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"And snazzy uniforms!" Rory said.

"Not all of them," Peter said. "Some have too much leather going on. Not good."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Leather's good," Rory said, tilting her head.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not always," Peter said, shaking his head.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Rory winced. "I don't want to know, huh?"

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nope," Peter said. "I'm met scary Canadians. Bad Canadians. Canadians who should wash more, gah."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm just going to focus on the pretty one, then," Rory said with a sigh.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-23 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"The pretty one who almost crashed your golf cart," Peter reminded her.

"Yeah, and he swerved a lot. Helped out with things, kind of," Rory amended.
