Fandom High Prom - Part I

City Hall is aglow with the light from the torches. Streamers in blue and yellow line the way for students towards the ballroom. Inside, hangings and other decorations represent the Lost Cities. A working volcano stands in Krakatoa's corner. Seven DVD players are projecting 3D images of the cities as well. And streamers, glitter, candles, balloons, and lights are everywhere.

Prom has begun.

[ooc: Wait for the OCD threads or suffer my wrath. Done! But please wait for the music threads to go up before dancing. Prom II will be going up in about two hours. Later.]

"Like I've mentioned killer snowmen to my parents," she laughed. "All they know is that I go to class, visit the gym and occasionally hang out in the common room. They think I have a very boring life here and can't understand why I want to stay for the summer. Speaking of the summer, are you staying around? Or are you heading back home?"

"I'm heading home for about a week or two just to visit, but I'll be here for the summer. My aunt thinks this place has been a good influence on me," Peter said.

"Same here, I'll head back to Roswell for a week or two at some point need to figure out the RL vacation schedule. Remind Max that he's not king yet, thump Michael because I'm sure he needs it for some reason or other and then come back." Isabel smiled again. "I'm glad you're staying. Hopefully this camp will be fun."

"I'm glad I'm staying, too," Peter said. "By the way, when you go home, no almost leaving the planet this time. I'm pulling out my BFF card and forbidding it."

"Oh, now you're playing dirty. I can't top that." She held up her hand, "So no leaving this time around, I promise" she said solemnly.

"Good," Peter said, smiling. "I have no problem taking a cheap shot like that if it saves the day."

"Well the same goes for you. I know you're a superhero and all. But be careful!"

"I'm always careful," Peter lied. "Besides, I mentioned Zero's siblings? They'd beat up my corpse if my death made her cry. I don't want that."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Why don't I believe that?" Isabel asked. "All I know is that Max and Michael would probably join them. Because I'd be a bit teary myself."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
"That's settled. No death for me because I don't want any defamation of my corpse," Peter said. "Also, that would be way too tough to explain to my aunt. 'Why is everyone beating up Peter? He's dead.' And then she'd probably clear house in a righteous rage."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I need to introduce her to Maria's mom," she laughed. "Ms. Deluca once chased Michael out of Maria's bed and through the house with a newspaper. She had righteous down to an art."

"My aunt can be one of the sweetest people in the world, but I swear to God, she's one of the only people who terrifies me when she's in one of those moods," Peter said. "And I've fought some pretty wacky psychos in the past."

"It's always the quiet ones," Isabel agreed. "You realize that you're not doing much to reassure me that you're going to stay out of trouble?"

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"You said 'be careful', not 'stay out of trouble,'" Peter pointed out. "I can do the first one."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Damn, caught by semantics," she grumbled. "Well do the first and attempt the second at least. It'll make me feel better."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
"And if I fail at either one, I'll just be quiet about it and hope you didn't read the Daily Bugle," Peter said.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

"I think I need to add a new bookmark to my browser," she said with a grin.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"The website has been crap since I left. It's really not worth the effort," Peter said, referring to the effort it takes to hit a single command.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
"It'll be difficult, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Especially if I can get to see a picture of the superhero costume."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Why is everyone obsessed with seeing my costume?" Peter pondered.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Possibly the same reason people obsess over the Mountie's hat? Maybe it stands for justice?" she asked.

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"It stands formaking sure I get my daily exercise in," Peter said. "You don't want flab to show when you're beating up a boomerang-tossing tool."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Spandex is a bitch isn't it?" Isabel snickered. "I don't have any experience with boomerang-tossing bad guys. But I feel your pain about the clingy fabric."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"I actually got the first costume from a wrestling promotion," Peter said. "I have to say, the designers are a bit wacky in the head, but it's worked out nicely overall."

Re: Punch - Pre-Spiking

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
"If it works you can't complain. Although now I really do need to see a picture," she said. "Because I'm picturing some of the costumes I've seen on some of the wrestling shows and it's breaking my brain."
