Caritas - Saturday Evening [Open]

Weevil had returned to Fandom a few days ago. It's definitely good to be back after spending a week in Neptune. And he's glad to see the zombie band back as well. He notices Tino seemed to be missing, though. He just shakes his head in amusement.

Caritas is open.

Cally blinked. "Okay, I'm not that big of a girl."

"What do you like, then?"

"Ambrosia," Cally said. "Though I usually get scotch and sodas, cause you can only get ambrosia in the colonies."

"Wow. I wish I could try it. Scotch and soda, then."

"I think there's a bottle in my..." she paused. "In what was my closet," she said. "We should get it sometime."

"I'd like that."

Cally got her drink and took a pretty hearty sip. "So, how've you been? We've not chatted in a while."

"Pretty good, actually. Other than Mr. GOB giving me detention all the time,"

Apparently there was nothing in the world that Cally couldn't associate in her mind with Anders. Detention especially. She gulped down half her drink and tried not to think about it. "Is Mr. GOB a good teacher? Or is he mean and detention spready?"

"I used to think he was really smart and funny? But I get the feeling that he's actually an idiot."

Cally frowned. "That sucks," she said. "I hate it when people don't turn out to be how you thought they were..."

Nadia sighed. "Seems to happen a lot, to me. Apparently I tend to just assume people are better than they are."

"I hoped," Cally said. "And..." she downed the rest of her drink and thudded it against the bar. "Frak boys. All of 'em."

Nadia didn't want to agree outloud, but she knew the feeling. "You don't need them."

"See, that's what I thought," Cally said. "But sometimes I'm worried that they might need me." She ordered another scotch and soda and took a sip.

"Is that a bad thing?"

"For them," Cally said. "Isn't it?"

Nadia shrugged. She didn't have any place to say that she thought Cally might have done the wrong thing.

"Up to you, I guess. And to them."

Cally nodded. "There's the thing, you know? I have no idea what I want anymore."

Nadia nodded slowly. "That would do it." She leaned against the bar. "I think what you need is a roof-top-brownie ritual."

"I like brownies," Cally said. "And the roof. So... sounds good to me."

"Great! It worked for Veronica, Walter, and Blair. I'm sure it'll work for you, too."

"Wow," Cally said. "That's a pretty long record of good standing success."

"I think the secret is the special brownies and the anti-emo rule."

"What makes the brownies so special?" Cally asked. "Are they, like, magical brownies?"
