Jarod, had done a little bit of research into Halloween and had spent the day preparing for the holiday. He set out a very large bowl of chocolate, as well as little bottles of massage oil, feathers and little containers of body paint. Anything else that was offered to trick or treaters was strictly a business deal between the trick or treater and the offerer.

"I stopped counting after a while," she says. "A couple bags, I think? And then Rory brought us coffee and more candy and Dean brought milkshakes and it was interesting," she nods. "You skydived? Skydove?"

"I'm sorry I missed it," he laughed, "and yes. I even sent a video of it to Broots."

"You realize now I'm going to have to hit him up to see this, right?" she says, opening the candy bag to offer him some.

"Have you ever gone?" Jarod asked, reaching into the bag. "And I may have a copy somewhere, if you want to watch. The ground comes up to meet me very, very quickly."

"Ooh," she says, "yay tape. And no, I think I'll stay away from anything that makes me plummet to the ground at high speeds from a high altitude. I'll leave that to everyone else."

"It's a real rush, but I can see that it wouldn't be for everyone," he admitted. "So, you surviving Halloween okay?"

"Yep. I think I'm well on my way to a cavity and I've so far avoided all festive people and have had no attempts made to scare me," she says. "As far as I'm concerned, that makes it not a bad one." She pauses. "So do you get many people coming by a brothel on Halloween?"

Jarod glanced around at the empty lobby. "Not so far? But the girls seemed to think they'd be busy later."

"Really?" she says, frowning. "What, like the ones into... costume dealies or something?" Yes, she really is having this conversation. She usually has weirder ones.

"I guess? I think this is the one day people pretend to be someone they're not," Jarod smirked, enjoying the irony.

Jaye considers this. "Eh. Too much work."

"You really wouldn't want to be someone else?"

Jaye shrugs a little. "I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be. Except, you know, when there are snow monsters around or something. And that's really more of a temporary thing anyway."

"I admire that," Jarod told her, opening yet another chocolate bar. "You know who you are."

"I'm the girl who talks to her puse. What else do I need?" she says. "You don't?"

"I don't generally carry a purse."

"But if you did, would you talk to it?"

He thought about that for a minute. "Depends, I guess. Would it answer me?"

She grabs another piece of candy and says, "I think that depends on the purse."

"Well, if the purse would answer, then I guess I'd have to talk to it," he leaned back against the counter, crossing his legs at the ankles. "Otherwise, you're just being rude."

"See, this is wha I'm saying," Jaye says, grinning. "Thanks for understanding."

He flashed a grin at her. "Anytime. So, your purse, huh?"

"Well, real people are usually so boring," she says. "It's just one of those things people say. I'm just running with it."

"So, what does a purse have to talk about?" Yes, he was serious.

"Well, it doesn't actually talk," she says, "but if I did, I think it would say things like 'Clean me out every now and then.'"
