"Some of my best friends are witches," Dean told her. "Me, I got no talent for magic myself but I'm a Hunter."

"Is that like a Slayer?" Vi asked, interested. "I don't know any magic either, but I can shove wooden stakes into things. It's fun."

"Sorta," Dean said. "Less super powered destiny, more family business." He looked at her closer. "You know about Slayers. You know Buffy Summers? Or Dawn?"

"Both of them," Vi said. "But I just ran into Dawn and she explained they aren't from my universe, which is weird. She said Buffy here is a lot younger than the one I know? So I'm kind of scared to talk to her in case I change her future somehow."

"I don't think that's really possible," Dean said. "Since she is from a different universe, behing here and talking to people who know another Buffy is part of her present and future."

"You have to explain how that one happens," Vi said. "Were they students? Because that would be really weird."

"Some kind of vortex opened up. Right over that way," Dean said, pointing in the direction of where it had appeared.
