Annette liked to talk.

"Do you like our planet so far?"

"I've only been here a day," he said. "But, it's not bad so far. I've got some adjusting to do."

"I'm still adjusting. Just wait until you wake up and are a girl one day. That was like wow amazing. My boyfriend had to borrow my clothes and I painted his toenails for him. But he was a girl, so it was totally okay."

He paused, eyes widening.

"Um."

"Yeah, I know. And then one morning you could wake up and be a little you. Like a tiny you. I woke up and realized I was four. Then of course you have your future kids coming to visit, the occassional stuffed animal coming to life. Oh, and one time the furniture took over. My door actually wouldn't let me back into my room. It was crazy."

She grinned, "So, is there anything specific you want to ask me or anything?" Cause she was helpful like that.

"Should I hide somewhere to avoid being a girl, getting a kid, turning into a kid or anything else weird that might happen?"

"Unfortunately no. There is no place you can hide or go to. As long as you're here, everything that happens here will affect you." She paused. "Wait. That's not entirely true. Sometimes these things just bypass certain students. I don't know why. Some fluke or something. So there is the faint, slim possibility that you could remain normal. I just wouldn't get my hopes up, know what I mean?"

Annette tried hard not to grin too big, "Do you drink, Gavin?"

"No." He winced slightly. "Should I?"

"Be far it from me to encourage it," she said with a knowing look. "I don't drink either. Of course since coming here there has been a time or two when I might have had a little something."

She grinned, "Well, I would say it might have, under whatever current situation I might have been faced with at the time. Yes."
