Fandom High Welcome Picnic, The Park, All Day: Part II

School in ruins = picnic in the park.
Food, check. Nametags, check. Glitter, check. Sibling list, check.
New people, yay!

[WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE. Mini-OCD is done, woo! This is part two of the picnic, for general mingling. Part one is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g* Both posts are open to everyone.]

"With no time," Dean said. "Felt like one night for me, but three years for my Dad and my brother. So yeah, no tv."

"Oh, that ain't so bad for you. Three years sitting there with no TV would make me go crazy. Not so good for your family. I'd probably go stir crazy if my brother disappeared."

How true.

"Yeah, I had the easy part. If Sammy and my positions were reversed I would've completely lost it."

"Sammy a little brother?"

Dean nodded, looked around and spotted Sammy's head above others. There were advantages to having a gigantor for a brother. "That's him there," he said, pointing him out.

"Not so little, huh?"

"My little brother's an overachiever," Dean said dryly. "Even in growing."

Raph grunted. "Got an overachiever brother too. He's still waiting on another growth spurt. Probably will keep waiting until he's 30."

"How old are you?" Dean asked curiously. "Kinda hard to tell what with the shell and all."

"Sixteen. Don't know our real birthdays, but we go from when Splinter found us. You about the same?"

Re: General Mingling

[identity profile] saltandammo.livejournal.com 2007-05-13 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Dean nodded. "Turned 16 in January. Or possibly 19. Or 28. Depending on if you go with how many years I've lived, how many years since I was born in my own time or how many years since I was born in the year it is here. I tend to go with the first -- it's simpler that way."

"I was never any good at math. Donnie's the one who'll probably figure out we're in a different year or universe or whatever, then won't shut up about it for the next month."

"What year is it where you're from?"

Re: General Mingling

"2007. Don't tell me this is the 80s. The hair's not big enough."

Re: General Mingling

[identity profile] saltandammo.livejournal.com 2007-05-13 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope. It's 2007 here. It's 1998 where I'm from."

"I'd ask how that works, but I don't care. At least it'll keep Donnie busy. Speaking of keeping busy, there's food over there with my name on it and I don't wanna keep it waiting. See you around."
