Fandom High Welcome Picnic, The Park, All Day: Part II

School in ruins = picnic in the park.
Food, check. Nametags, check. Glitter, check. Sibling list, check.

[~~WAIT FOR THE OCD PLEASE.~~ Mini-OCD is done, woo! This is part two of the picnic, for general mingling. Part one is happening simultaneously here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. *g* Both posts are open to everyone.]

"Building a better fighter...I'm guessing it's not shuttle maintenance," Luke said, sounding a little disappointed. "I'm not taking either of those workshops."

"No, it's not." Tori shook her head. "It focuses on fighting styles, though I'm not sure if it will involve weapons or not." She shrugged. "Oh." Tori was a tiny bit disappointed. "What are you taking?"

"Flight with my dad, and the gun workshop, and the mechanic thing, and glitter with Rory," Luke said with a smile. "I'll determined to figure out the link to boykissy."

"They all sound like fun." Tori grinned. "Especially the glitter one." She laughed. "Good luck with that, I'm not sure we'll ever understand it."

"I remain hopeful," Luke said with a laugh, "but don't get your heart set on me kissing any other guys."

"I'm glad to hear that." Tori chuckled. "I wouldn't dream of it."

Luke blushed because that's what he did.

And Tori thought that was all kinds of cute.

"So," Luke said, frantically changing the subject, "how's life in Pixie?"

"It's great. I'm rooming with Conner, Rory and Zero on the B side." Tori grinned. "I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of fun, with all of the seniors living there." She admitted. "What about your cabin?"

"You'll get to know Rory!" Luke said, sounding thrilled. "That's wonderful. The mighty Platypi are a lot of fun. Pam and I are planning to go on a platypus hunt." He smiled. "I'm not entirely sure they really exist."

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it." Tori grinned. "Oh nice. They do, I'm just not sure if there are any around here."

"They don't sound real," Luke said, "at least how Pam described them." He smiled at Tori. "But you wouldn't be trying to mess with me, so if you say they're real, they're real."

Luke was a giant dork.

"How did she describe them?" Tori wondered about that. "No, I wouldn't. Trust me, they exist." She grinned brightly, glad he believed her.

And there was his hand maybe-sort of reaching for hers again.

"Like what would happen if you smushed a duck and a beaver together," he said.

And she maybe-sort of took hold of his, if he had reached for hers.

Tori laughed and nodded. "Yeah, that's pretty much what a platypus is." She smiled. "Pam was pretty spot on in her description."

There might have been finger squeezing and blushing.

"Why would you possibly need an animal that looks like that?" asked the boy from a planet that boasted giant holes in the sand that ate people for no reason.

Definintely blushing.

Tori shrugged. "Honestly? I don't know." She laughed. "But, I think it's kind of cute." Even if it was a strange creature.

"Well, I can deal with being cute, I suppose," Luke said with a shy smile. "I can't really imagine Bel being all that excited about being a Pixie, though."

"I would hope so, because you definitely are." Tori grinned and blushed, surprised she'd actually said that out loud. She shook her head in amusement. "Me either, but I guess there are worse things the cabin could've been named."

"Like Chu...something," Luke said, blushing bright red. "There's a couple of those. And you're way cuter than I am," he babbled.

"There certainly are." Tori nodded, wondering who had come up with names for the cabins. "Oh." She blushed, smiling sheepishly. "Um, thanks?" She wasn't sure what to say to that.

"I'm really bad at this," Luke told his feet.

Tori couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Me too." She admitted, with a small smile.

"Guess we can figure it out as we go along, maybe?" Luke asked, glancing at her shyly.
