Molly nodded as she took the phone back. "There's a lot of other stuff involved, like satellites and cell towers, but yeah, as long as you have a phone that works here, you can call anybody else with a phone."

"I think that I won't ask you to explain what satellites and cell towers are. At least, not today," he said with a small smile. "But I am grateful for your help. It was very kind of you."

"You're welcome," Molly said, returning the smile. "I'm happy I could help. I'll explain anything that you want me to whenever you need it."

"It's entirely possible you may come to regret that offer at some point in the future," he said lightly. "But I'll try and limit myself only to those things I can't discover on my own."

"Do, please," he said seriously. "I tend to get rather focused when I there's things I don't understand. But I was told there is a library? Is that correct?"

Molly nodded. "I heard that it made it through the alien attack just fine. I haven't been to see for myself though."

"Then that can be the first thing I discover for myself." He grinned. "And if you find yourself being followed by a robed shadow, asking possibly rather foolish questions, you'll know that it didn't."
