Beach [Thursday Late Morning]

With his classes over for the week, Lee decided that he wanted out of the dorms. Once he was awake enough, he wandered his way down to the beach slowly, taking time to get his bearings, examine the area for quick exits and mentally map the town in his head.

It might be useful.

Once he'd arrived at the beach, he took a seat in the sand, far enough away from the water that he wouldn't get wet but close enough to hear the noise from the waves. The book he'd shoved in the back pocket of his shorts came out and he opened it up, rifling through the well worn pages.

Now, just to hope that it didn't rain. Or maybe he wanted it to rain. Who knows.

[Beach is open! Bother Lee, use it for other purposes! Gimme pie...oh wait.]

With no classes until Friday and noting much better to do, Jamie had decided to check out the beach.

Yep. Still sandy.

He spotted the guy with well-toned arms reading a book and gave him a friendly wave.

Lee looked up and gave a wave back. "How's it going?"

Jamie gave a shrug. "Pretty well. Just needed to get out of the dorms. I'm Jamie Madrox, by the way. What are you reading?"

"Lee Adama," he replied and held up the book. "Just something from home. About the only book I brought with me so I figured I'd read it while I had the time. New student?"

"Nope. Old student who was gone for a while," Jamie replied looking idly at the book. "Just got back to school earlier this week and was checking around to see what's changed. Are you new to Fandom?"

Adam, accompanied by a rather energetic puppy, had taken to walking along the beach after his invasions class.

Spotting someone he didn't recognize, Adam smiled and waved.

"Hey," Lee said, waving back. "How's it going?"

"Pretty well, thanks," Adam grinned. "You?"

Sara had taken to cautiously moving towards Lee, curious.

"Not bad," Lee said, glancing at the dog curiously. "She yours?"

Class had A.J. out on his super secret jogging session later than normal, and as his route brought him around to the beach, he noticed the guy with the book and lifted a hand as he passed. "Hey, new kid," he said, and slowed down his pacing in case new kid wanted to say hi back and then A.J. would have an excuse for a break.

"Hey...not new kid, I'm guessing," Lee said, grinning. "Or new kid too?"

Sweet. Break time! Grinning slightly, A.J. circled back around, jogged a second in place, and then stopped, taking in a deep breath while his pace slowed a bit from the running he'd been doing. "Not as new kid," he offered a bit breathlessly. Weird how you never noticed exactly how hard you were breathing until you stopped working. "I'm A.J." He nodded instead of offering his hand because, man, how hard had he been jogging? "Good to..." Time to sit down. Yeah, definitely sitting down. "...meet ya."

Hoooo. Why did he do this to himself?

Lee held back an amused laugh but couldn't stop the slight grin. "You too. This your first time jogging?"

Katara didn't have class at all today which made the fact that she was at the beach rather predictable. And hey, if it started to rain, she could help with that. She waved to the - wow, pretty - new boy.

"Hey," Lee said, looking up and waving. "How's it going?"

"It's excellent!" It was really always excellent for Katara at the beach. She walked up the beach towards him from where she's been walking in the water. "I'm Katara."

He laughed at her enthusiasm and said, "I'm Lee. Good to meet you, Katara. Any reason why it's excellent?"

Billy came jogging along the beach, and waved to Lee. "Morning."

"Hey, man," Lee said, looking up from his book.

"You one of the new students?"

"Yep," Lee said. "Just got in last weekend."

Dawn figured there weren't too many nice days left, which was why she decided to spend the day at the beach. She spread out her blanket, stripped down to her bathing suit, and plans to stretch out on her back with a book.

She did wave to the assembled people, though.

"Good," Dawn beamed at him, appreciating the scenery. "Are you new, or was I all oblivious girl again?"

"No, I'm new," he confirmed. "Just got in last weekend. I haven't been out much yet. Lee Adama."
