Flag Football Game, The Park, Sunday Noon

It was the perfect day for a flag football game in the park. Lines had been ~~handwavily~~ chalked on the cold ground and would wash away in the next rain or snow. Posters had been ~~handwavily~~ put up to encourage everyone in Fandom to attend.

"Oh good planning. I think I might actually head home on the 23rd, just to get some last minute stuff done out there," Isabel replied. "Wyatt's going to bring me. Which is just...wow, so glad I don't have to brave the airports."

Peter grinned. "Yeah. Flying in to La Guardia's going to be a little nuts, but still. At least this way I get extra holiday time with my friends."

"One friend in particular?" she teased.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Peter teased back.

"Sure, you keep saying that. You might find someone to believe you," Isabel told him. "But it's not going to be me."

"Have to try harder next time," Peter replied with a grin. "So when you getting back to Fandom?"

"I'm not sure exactly. ~~It depends on RL plans~~," Isabel admitted. "But definitely in time for New Years. I know a couple of the alum are coming in for the party and it'll be good to see them."

"I'll be after New Year's," Peter said. "Insaneness of parties aside, it'll be nice to have all that time with Ma and Nathan."

"Plus there's that whole New York at New Year's thing. Have you ever done it?" she asked. "It looks insane."

"Insane and cold," Peter said. "But it's fun to try once."

"Maybe next year. I mean after all, relatively speaking, if I wind up at Cornell, I'll be closer to New York City then I will be Roswell," Isabel pointed out.

"I didn't know you were looking at Cornell," Peter said. "What made you think that?"

"Their School of Hotel Administration is one of the best in the country," she explained. "I figured it'd give me a good base for what I want to do eventually. It's either there or UNLV. I'm just waiting till February to see where I get accepted."

"Vegas isn't bad either," Peter said. "Pop used to go there a lot for business."

"They do have a pretty good program. And god only knows, there's enough places to get practical experience," Isabel agreed. "Plus it's only a few hours drive from Roswell. I know my mom likes that fact."

"Just close enough and just far enough at the same time, huh?" Peter said.

"Pretty much. I've kind of gotten used to being on my own the last two years. I'm not ready to give that up," she shrugged.

"I could go either way," Peter admitted. "Though eventually I'll get my own place."

"A nice loft in the city?" Isabel asked. "Like you see in all the movies?"

"Maybe," Peter said. "Something on the East Side. So I'm still close."

"You'll have space for guests?" Hinting? Never...

"Always."

"Awesome. You know I'm going to take you up on that," she told him. "I need to sample more good pizza."
