Flag Football Game, The Park, Sunday Noon

It was the perfect day for a flag football game in the park. Lines had been handwavily chalked on the cold ground and would wash away in the next rain or snow. Posters had been handwavily put up to encourage everyone in Fandom to attend.

Adam, Andros, Annette, Jim H., Jo, Marco, Sam, Shawn, Sokka, Peter, and Karal are the Blue Team, led by Captain Willow, who may or may not have a pep talk for her team!

Willow was there with her clipboard, blue baseball cap, her whistle, and of course her Members Only jacket.

"Hi everybody! Okay, gather around me in a circle, or an oval, or even a rhombus if you're so inclined. Now today is the big day! We're here to remind the gold team that this is not their house, it's our house! Except that we're in a park and nobody lives here but the ducks, so really this is the ducks' house and we're just sort of borrowing it. But the ducks totally like our team better because our team rules and theirs has saliva control problems and that's why we're going to win and they are going to cry and cry and cry. Especially John. Extra bonus points and cookies to whoever gets John to shed a tear. I do not rule out hair-pulling as an option for this. Nothing in the rule book says that's not allowed, therefore it is clearly encouraged.

"Also don't forget to be aware of your surroundings! Watch the field, keep your eye on the spread, notice that there is plenty of snow around that could be grabbed and shoved into someone's jacket, and again there is nothing in the rule book that specifically forbids this.

"Keep your clothes on for now because we don't want anyone getting frostbit. Jim, I've got hot water bottles ready in case you need to take one for the team. Don't think the rest of us won't be grateful.

"And that's it! Stay hydrated, remain fierce, as always hit the bathroom now or be forced to hold it later. Now go! Pellucid specialized light-sensitive sensory structures of animals that in nearly all vertebrates, most arthropods, and some mollusks are the image-forming organ of sight, abounding hollow muscular organs of vertebrate animals that by their rhythmic contraction acts as a force pump maintaining the circulation of the blood, CAN'T LOSE! WOOOOO!!!!!!"

Annette listened intently, grinning a little wickedly over the part about shoving snow at people. That would totally work.

And this time? She was so not taking her clothes off. Her coat or anything. No way.

Okay, unless it meant winning or something like that. Then she would have to be given a cookie to do it. Maybe.

Anyhow, by the end of Willow's speech Annette was pumped and ready to play, even though she might not get the end of what Willow said. Didn't matter. She was ready. "Woooo!"

Abigail, Billy, Bridge, Chad, Dawn, Dean, Dick, Evie, Johnny, Anders, and Harry are the Gold Team, led by Captain John, who surely has something to say to his team!

John was there ready to play and captain his team to victory. "Okay guys, I have a few words for you before the game!" he called out to his team.

"I just wanted to say I'm really proud of you guys," he started. "Over the last few months of admittedly unorthodox practices, you've all come a long way. You're prepared for anything they can throw at you, unless they throw their pants, but I'm hoping the cold will prevent that today." He wasn't positive that weather would stop Willow or her team, but he could hope.

"Anyway, let's go out there and win this game!"

After the Gold team won the coin toss, Billy found himself the first guy with the ball.

He faded back, looking for an opening, or someone to pass to. Oh look, a really tall mexican! Perfect!

Drawing back, he let fly with a medium long bomb to Chad.

John was there to watch his sons play, along with Grace and Zoe.

The baby was well bundled and John pulled her out of her stroller and held her up so she could see better. "See Grace? Those are your big brothers out there running around."

Really, Hermione had missed doing things like going to Quidditch matches, so this was the perfect opportunity to do something like it.

And yes, that was a book in her lap. Look, finals were coming up.
