The park, near the duckpond, Sunday afternoon
Jaina was getting married today! She was very excited, because even though John hit on her thinking she was her sister once she'd stolen Brooke's identity and only wanted the Skywalker diamond mine, he was still all she ever wanted. And now she would own his ass.
The park had been done up to look nearly as beautiful as she did, and the duck pond would be a lovely backdrop for the wedding.
[Anyone can say they got an invite. And Winchesters can just crash. It's SOW, yo. Wait for OCD!]

His face was another story.
He returned for Jaina and John's wedding in a disguise. No one would recognize him and his prison filled past would stay secret.

Though the wedding reminded him of his poor, dead fiancee Rebecca. He wouldn't let anyone see him cry.

She waved to people she knew. Like Princess Diana.

She hung back, Lookyng for Any she Myte Drynk.

"Because John was your friend, once upon a time," Meredith took over their body to respond. "It's not right that you got so caught up in your research and weren't there for him when he lost Rebecca and really needed your support."
"What?" Rodney huffed indignantly. "Now, it's my fault that he's turned out the way he has?"
"I'm just saying that you could have helped," Meredith pointed out. "The least you can do is show some support now that he's finally moved on."
"'Moved on?' Please," Rodney rolled their eyes. "Jaina doesn't hold a candle to Rebecca. I bet he's only doing this to get in good with the Skywalkers. He may have been my friend, but he was always an opportunistic bastard."
"I can't believe you'd think that! No, wait. Yes, I can," Meredith quickly corrected. "You're such a cynical bastard, you always think the worst of people."
"And I'm usually right," Rodney argued.
"Whatever," Meredith rolled her eyes. "I'm sure he really loves her," she stated emphatically.
"Yeah, as much as John Sheppard loves anyone," Rodney sarcastically agreed.
Meredith glanced down at the suit they were wearing. "You should have worn the blue tie, it really brings out your eyes."
"Oh, fine! Now you tell me," Rodney threw up their hands in defeat.

She kept her face low, her black fingertip veil shading her eyes and making sure no one could see the small white pock scar near her eye. It was hideous. And she would make them all pay for judging her.

She'd finally ventured out of the dorms, wondering why something felt off but completely unaware of the exact nature of the insanity.
By the time she got to the park, she was wishing she'd stayed inside.
"Everyone here has gone completely astral."
Re: The Audience, before and during!
He had much better hair than that Winchester-loving Sheppard guy, anyway.

The Wedding!
Re: The Wedding!
In a few moments he would have everything an orphan like he could ever dream of! A diamond mine with the power and money that came with it, a link to the most powerful family in Fandom, and a seemingly endless stream of beautiful women clamoring for his attentions.
Oh, right, and a hot wife who never noticed that he cheated on her constantly. Charles Bass could eat his heart out.

Comas and stunted marriages were just part of God's plan, he was sure. God wouldn't lead him down the wrong path. And if a mother and a daughter wanted to get married, well it was still love, wasn't it?
Ned was having a crisis of faith...and his stupid book was falling apart. He really needed to hit up Tony Robbins's website for another copy.
"Anyone need a priest?" he asked to no one in particular. He just wanted to be helpful. And marry people. And avoid comas. And faces burned off by cheese.
Boobs though, he'd take those.

"Fine," Meredith sighed. "You can say it."
Rodney grinned triumphantly. "I told you so," he sang childishly.
"You know, Brooke is remarkably youthful for someone her age," Meredith said admiringly.
If Rodney could have glared at his own body, he would have. "Do you find the silver lining in everything just to piss me off?"
"Well, duh," Meredith admitted. "I have to get my kicks somehow."

So distracted by these thoughts was he that he completely missed the part where he was walking too close to the pond until he was in it.
"...dammit."
