Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

Jolee came in and checked to make sure that Tino, the zombies, and T1 were all who they were supposed to be. Once he did that, he took a seat in the lounge and let Tino take care of whatever insanity might happen tonight.

[OOC: Continuing the proud tradition for this weekend of cheating and making it a mod Tino night. Jolee's in the lounge if anyone wants to talk to him specifically.]

Luke missed the name thing in his indignation. "I'm not tiny! I'm 14. Not my fault people are older."

"Okay, why are you fourteen?" she asked. "Did you get de-aged? What's going on this weekend?"

"Because last year I was thirteen," and Luke paused there as if he was waiting for the laugh track to kick in while his brows knit in concentration. "Oh, wait, do you think I'm that guy with the fancy name? The girl at the clinic said I looked like somebody."

Brooke frowned, then realized she was just getting more confused. "Let's start from the beginning. Who are you?"

At least that made sense. "Luke Brower," he said, offering a hand for her to shake. "I'm from Long Island. I think my foster family left me here yesterday. Who are you?"

"Brooke Davis. You look really a lot like that guy the person in the clinic probably meant you looked like," she said. "Your family left you?"

"It happens," Luke said, playing with the straw in his drink and putting up quite the front of not caring about any of this. "They probably had other stuff to do. I'm used to being on my own anyhow."

He kind of sounded like her. Only hers wasn't a foster family. "So you come to the bar?"

"Not right away," Luke said defensively. "I don't drink. This is just coke."

"Good. Still got a few years before you move up there," she said. She couldn't help it. She felt a little protective of tiny foster Romeo.

"I'm not gonna," Luke said, chin jutting proudly. "My stepdad liked to drink. I'm going to stay away from it forever. You drink?"

"Not really," Brooke lied, trying to inconspicuously push her drink away. "Maybe like half of one, when I know I don't have to drive anywhere."

Luke visibly relaxed at that; he was a little less paranoid about drinking than he had been when he moved in with the Seavers, but he still associated it with angry people.

"Good. Good," he said. "I mean, it's no big deal for other people. I just ... don't."

"That's a good thing. Besides, people who do that when they're younger really aren't a group you want to get into anyway."

Look who was getting all responsible today.
