Caritas [Saturday evening]

Robin was not wearing her Robin Sparkles regalia longer than she needed to. Which was for the obligatory performance.

So, for right now, the wig and graffiti denim jacket were tucked away, and Robin herself, brunette and irritable-looking as ever, was behind the bar and eyeing a bottle of Johnnie Walker.

"Last name? Family name?" Bow was confused for a moment before shaking his head and smiling brightly. "Of course! You must be like She-Ra, the Princess of Power!" Ah, She-Ra! Bow loved her so.

"...sure, I'm like her," he said and laughed. "Though, I think she's a lot better looking than I am."

"She is She-Ra," Bow pointed out. "Wait a moment, my friend! You know She-Ra?"

"I've talked to her once or twice, yeah," Hannibal said, nodding. "She's helped me out of some tough situations."

A sigh of understanding. "Oh yes, you haven't really lived until She-Ra's saved your life with her strong arms and perfect--" Bow suddenly remembered he wasn't in private. "Ahem, yes, she's an excellent friend to have!"

"She is," Hannibal said, picking up on that little slip. He wasn't that dense. "But I'm sure you've saved your share of lives too."

Bow cleared his throat and sat up taller. "Saving lives seems to just happen when you're a member of the Great Rebellion! If my bow has aided She-Ra in the fight against the Horde, then I have made a difference!"

Hannibal only smiled at the way he talked. He knew Adora, after all. It was familiar and optimistic.

"So, you shoot a bow and you play an instrument?" Talented guy.

"Ah, my good man, I do not simply play the harp, I sing as well," Bow told him, pulling out the small red and gold staff that would transform between bow and harp and making it the latter. "Care to hear anything?" Bow strummed a few chords of nothing.

"Well, yeah, of course," he said, nodding. "Anything you'd like to play. Let's hear it."

"Excellent!" Bow started up with a version of his Ode to She-Ra. The lyrics weren't exactly vague but the melody was nice and airport-loungey.

Hannibal held back any laughter because it wasn't really bad at all and he obviously had a little crush.

In fact, he found a ~~random~~ lighter and lit it.

Bow immediately dropped his harp and threw a ~~random~~ glass of water on the lighter. "It's alright, Hannibal! I shall save you from the flames!"

Oh, wow. Hannibal...blinked and then tucked the lighter away. "Thanks, Bow!" Didn't want to rain on his parade. "That could have gotten out of control and I'm not always the most observant with these things."

"Not to worry, my friend," Bow reached to clap him on the shoulder. "Have some wine, it'll help with the shock."

"I've never had this kind," he said honestly. "It gonna knock me on my ass?"

It was completely and utterly non-alcoholic. "Your ass? I suppose it may if you're already sitting down!" Bow laughed at his own sad little joke.

Hannibal laughed too but not at the joke. This poor guy so reminded him of Adora. "It's sort of figurative language," he explained. "Is it strong?"

"Oh! It's about as strong as fruit punch," Bow told him. "Sure makes Glimmer giggle, though."

"I've only heard a little about her," Hannibal said, signaling for a glass of the wine. "How's she doing?"

"How do I put this?" Bow asked himself. "If Glimmer were here, you'd know everything that ever happened in any of our camps and all about Adora."

"She's more excitable than Adora?" Hannibal asked.

"Oh yes!" Bow laughed. "Glimmer is like Adora on speed and wanting to know everything about everyone!"

"Probably wise she didn't come with you," Hannibal said, snickering. "She might have gone insane."

"That's probably true," Bow grinned. "You'd like her though, she's a real pistol. How's Adora faring here, anyway?"
