Caritas [Saturday evening]

Robin was not wearing her Robin Sparkles regalia longer than she needed to. Which was for the obligatory performance.

So, for right now, the wig and graffiti denim jacket were tucked away, and Robin herself, brunette and irritable-looking as ever, was behind the bar and eyeing a bottle of Johnnie Walker.

"Ta," Daisy couldn't help a grin at that, passing her eyes over the gentleman as well, "this old thing? You're isn't half bad, either."

She could always appreciate a man in tight pants; especially when they actually fit.

"Well, I do do a lot of yoga," Aldous said. "Helps keep my figure fitting my clothes. I have to be careful, otherwise they'd be liable to just fall off.

"Oh, and that'd just be terrible," said Daisy, sounding an awful lot like she didn't think it'd be terrible at all.

"Here, anyway," she amended. "I could think of a place or two it might not be so tragic."

"I can think of a few myself," Aldous said. "Aldous Snow, at your service."

"Daisy Day," she said. "Pleasure's all mine. You in for the conference, I take it?"

Because then that would be just perfect. Ideal conditions for a thing like this. Cute, already loosely veiled references to getting naked, and would never see him again.

"Of course," Aldous said. "I'm the lead singer of Infant Sorrow."

Daisy's expression turned incredibly apologetic. "How many points do I lose if I admit that I don't think I'm familiar?"

"It depends," Aldous said. "On whether or not you'd mind being a Sorrow Sucker as a one time gig, really."

Daisy wasn't quite sure what that meant, but she could take a few guesses, and she had a pretty firm idea of what she'd like it to mean, so she smirked. "Not a problem at all," she said.

"Then I'm pretty sure my ego can take the slight beating," Aldous said. "It's a resilient thing, after all. Like bread dough. It'll rise again."

"Oh, now there's just the sort of thing a girl likes to hear," said Daisy, though it was not exactly ego that she was thinking of.

"Right, excellent, excellent," Aldous said. "Now, I have to do this song thing, and I'll be right back with you."

"Well, go on, then," said Daisy, nodding toward the stage. "Let's have a look at what I've been missing out on."

"Right," Aldous said. "And you just think about the nature of the universe in the meantime, right? And about the fact that my song is definitely about you."

Oh, now, this was going to be good, Daisy could tell already. She nodded. "Can't wait."

Aldous went and hit the stage. When his song was done (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/4068757.html?thread=167894933#t167894933), he came back down.

"...Now. Are you really wanting to hear any of these other acts?"

And, really, the performance was brilliant; the musical style wasn't exactly her cup of tea, but, really, the gyrations and the dirty lyrics made up for that tenfold. And she was certainly convinced.

"Oh, I'd like to do more than just hear it, I'd say..."

"So, why don't you and I go retire to somewhere more comfortable?" Aldous said.

"I've got a great apartment," said Daisy, sliding off her stool and leaning in toward...whatever his name was. "You should come see it."

"Count me in," Aldous said. "I'm a man of the world. That includes your apartment."
