Having a definite MacFinlay meant that he was reasonably all right today, though he was still in the position of finding another Dougan unless Maron came back (which he doubted).

All the same, after Tuesday he wasn't quite so worried. Hopefully, nothing insane would happen this time around. ...then again, his knuckles were sore from knocking on wood so much.

There wasn't anything to do today and since Reese saw this was playing again decided to watch again as soon as she was off the clock.

It hadn't been bad and it was a good way to kill time.

So they'd missed the play on Tuesday due to a number of circumstances, but they were definitely not missing tonight's performance. Which is why they were there and buying tickets.

A play. What a divine event! Aphrodite was there. She'd dressed in a pink gown, but it was (for her) rather understated so she didn't take attention away from the stage.

She was looking forward to this. Shakespeare had been such a sweet guy.

It did not, directly, fall into Operation: Talk to People, but at the very least it would give her something to talk about and from her understanding of the story, was likely to be quite interesting.

Which would be why Hinata, after talking to Hoshi, made sure that she bought a ticket for that night's showing.

Zack had hunkered himself down backstage with a headset and a prayer, and was steadfastly going over the lighting cues on his script.

There might have been a small mountain of glowsticks beside him, ready to be set on top of any errant sandbags or props or dead bodies or whatever might end up strewn about the floor in the dark. He wasn't taking chances tonight.

After the morning he'd had, Ender was altogether more thoughtful. But he also had a performance to attend to, and so his usual calm demeanour had slipped across his expression like an old familiar shield.

He took a muffin. Clearly, something was wrong with the world.

Sophie... was not there. Not early, anyway. But at exactly her call time, she walked through the door in an elegant gown and proceeded to the dressing room very very quickly, garment bag over her shoulder, and proceeded to get ready within 15 minutes. Without doing her meditation either. Tonight she wouldn't need it.

Jack wasn't really too nervous today, but he kept forgetting his lines. He had a handful of lines, and kept forgetting them, so he was pacing around backstage, muttering to himsel---

Ooh. That looked interesting.


Jack failed to realize that people who wore chain mail helmets usually wore padding or cloth underneath for a reason.

"Um. Little help here? Ow!"

Karla was there and absolutely not panicking about Sophie's absence. She could the the makeup herself. Totally.

At least she wasn't as exhausted or emotionally worn out tonight. Which meant she needed less makeup than on Tuesday. Although, it had been an awesome effect, so maybe she needed more?

It was a good thing she'd arrived early. And that there was a lot of makeup handy.

Harper was really giving it her all today, really hitting her stride and giving her best performance yet.

But just when it seemed that everything was going great, she missed her mark, lost track of where she was in relation to the edge, and ended up falling off the stage with an "Ooof!"

Second order of business: I'd like to thank blondecanary/magdaofslovenia for all of her help and assistance this time around. I literally could not have gotten this up and done without her. Also, glacial_witch and puppy_fair for their great ideas and awesome patience and going along with all this craziness.

Third order of business: I'd like to thank everyone who was in the play this time around, as this was a brilliant season full of crack and madness and arrests and swordfighting and beaver-chewing and maple syrup. You guys were patient with my RL stuff, brilliant with what I threw out at you, and absolutely fabulous in total. Thank you thank you thank you, and I hope you had a good time.

Fourth order of business: OMG try outs are next week for the next production! DO COME! and those who were part this semester, DO COME AGAIN!
