Caritas; Saturday Evening

Damon wasn't really liking this whole extra work thing he's been doing lately but it honestly wasn't like he had anything better to do around here. He knew better than to ask for more excitement. Nobody wanted a repeat of last weekend. No, no, he'll be content with this for now, thank you.

That made her blush more. "Perhaps one day I will surprise you and order a real one," she said. It was doubtful, but anything could happen.

"Then I would heal you," Raven said. "I could never have another's death on my conscience."

"I have never seen an injury I could not heal," Raven said. That was totally a point of pride for her. "I do not believe I could bring someone back if they were long and truly dead, but if there were any spark of life within them, I am certain I could."

Raven toyed with the straw in her drink. "Perhaps one day I will be able to conquer even death," she said, then added with a shudder, "Or living death."

"It does, does it not?" Raven said with a light but forced laugh to try to chase the sudden chill away. "I had read of such creatures while I was in Azarath, but I did not encounter any until I came to Fandom."

"Well, there are the zombies for one," Raven said, glancing toward the stage. "I do not feel them suffering, though, and they seem content...the way they are."
