Now that it was the weekend and she wasn't facing terminal... brain cancer... Jean was at work. She was busy trying to set up the meditation room to something that wouldn't send boys running.

...yeah, it wasn't working so far.

Look, she thought the pillows made it look friendly, okay?

Hurley was out and about at work again, sorting new CDs by genre.

Today, he was playing Lady Gaga over the sound system.

Shush, he liked it.

Groovy Tunes was open.

[ooc: And so is the post. The OCD is off somewhere practicing its pokerface]

Millie didn't usually open the bookstore on Saturdays, but she thought that with Christmas coming an extra day might come in handy for those busy during the week.

So, the store was open and she was cozily looking through some new inventory should anyone need her.

Sophie had received an e-mail from Hardison that had her... concerned.

Nate sober. In Boston. Working alone! He is going to get his stupid self beat down any day here, is what I'm saying. Ideas?

Oh yes. Many, many, many of them.

The gallery was open, and the display of photography had shifted to include glass sculptures.

Fourth Dimension was open.

[and OCD free]

Once again, a need to have some space to himself had combined with a need for caffeine, driving Ender to the Perk for a warm cup of coffee and a pastry. He had his laptop on him, but it was shut for once, hiding its mountains of data within.

Ender sipped his coffee and considered the windows, which seemed to have, overnight, acquired the strangest patterns of snow - spray on snow - and he gave up on identifying what shapes they formed when he realised at least two of them probably came from the Kama Sutra, or an equal piece of pornography.

It was shaping up to be a quiet winter.

Price was bundled up, just enjoying the winter air. He had a cigar clenched in his teeth, and was tossing bits of bread at the duck pond, regardless of whether there were actually any birds around.

It was good to be alive, and to be free. He put thoughts about Soap and Soap's well being to the back of his mind. For now, he'd just worry more about his own sanity. Five years in the Gulag were nothing compared with a few days on this island for shaking up his grip on reality.

He stayed perched on his bench, his eyes open and keeping watch over all the corners. He'd be vigilant, even if he felt safe.

[ooc: Very open]

Hoshi was only sort of there at the front desk. Gunther was having a crisis in the kitchen, which meant Hoshi spent the majority of her time cleaning up after Gunther and trying to make sure he didn't burn the place down.

Mayhap they were cracked to go out for ice cream in this weather, but they'd spoken of it for weeks now. Besides, the ice cream would still taste good even if Beka was relieved Emma had made her buy a winter coat. Even if it'd probably be colder in Corus by now, at least it wasn't raining. It was rather clear, which made the snow stuck to the windows all the more stranger.

"I've not seen snow make patterns like these afore," she told Jonas as they entered the ice cream parlor. Twas warmer inside, but there wasn't anyone else in except for the server behind the counter. Most folk didn't go eat ice cream in this weather, it seemed.

[For the boy with her, but Chilly boulder is open of course. If you're cracked enough to want ice cream in December.]

It was here! Party night! And Aphrodite was there to greet all her guests at the door of the banquet room.

The party was actually taking place in two rooms, with the buffet dinner in the smaller one and dancing in the larger. Just inside the door of the larger room was the twelve-foot tree, with twinkly crystal lights, but no decoration. This was where people were free to place their own ornament on the tree, showing what holiday they were celebrating.

Also in the dancing room were several tapestries, with the names of several holidays in golden thread, and some symbol of the celebration. These ranged from a tree for Solstice, a menorah for Hanukkah, a nativity scene for Christmas, and several others.

The buffet was grand, with turkey, ham, and roasted lamb with all the trimmings. Near the bar was an actual champagne fountain, with real champagne flowing over the glasses for patrons to fill their own.

The food was ready to be served, the band was warming up for the dancers, and the goddess of love was at the door to welcome you!

(ooc: Party post, up early for SP. Everyone is welcome, and don't forget to bring your holiday ornament! Wait for the OCD is up!)

Damon wasn't really liking this whole extra work thing he's been doing lately but it honestly wasn't like he had anything better to do around here. He knew better than to ask for more excitement. Nobody wanted a repeat of last weekend. No, no, he'll be content with this for now, thank you.
