The Boards - Richard III, CLOSING NIGHT - Thursday evening

Now was the winter of their discontent... The last night of Richard III was starting very soon. Still no sign of their errant Director, but Tony seemed to have everything well in hand. Sophie had counted up receipts from Tuesday, and they were doing quite well. The students had certainly given it their all on Tuesday night.

And Geoffrey may have cast them, encouraged them, and directed them, but everyone in the theater tonight had their own reasons for wanting this last evening of the play to go well.

"Thirty minutes, everyone. Our Stage Manager says places in thirty."

[OCD on its way up!]

"God, me too." Dinah sighed and pouted onto Tony's shoulder. "Why are we leaving, again?"

"Graduating. Lives back home. Et cetera," Tony said.

"But I like this life," Dinah said with a scowl. "Can't we take it with us?" She sighed and slung an arm around Tony's middle. "Or something?"

"Something for sure," Tony said. "You gotta come visit me when I'm in film school."

"Oh, that's happening," Dinah said definitely. "Just not in the winter as much as fall or spring... but it's happening. And you have to come to New Gotham for Spring Break and Thanksgiving."

Like, forever. Okay, he was Canadian, so he didn't care about American Thanksgiving, but hey! "We could do Thanksgiving twice!"

"That works." Dinah could *almost* reconcile herself to the end of school, planning this way for the future. "And I get to visit the set on Darkest Night again if they get renewed, right?"

"Yeah, uh, that's not looking so good at the moment," Tony admitted.

"What? Nooooo!" Dinah protested, horrified. "Oh, c'mon! We all watched!"

Yeah, and the Nielson numbers were really effected by that.

"Yeah, and we killed in the multiverse nexus ratings, but the American viewership wasn't so strong," Tony said.

It was a tribute to how warped Dinah's brain had been by Fandom that she actually thought that was a real thing for a minute. Then she blinked and said, "Well, that sucks. All over forever!"

Someone should tell her about the fanfiction. Just... not the Tony/Lee fiction.

"I know," Tony said. "Trust me, I know. CB's got a couple of other projects in the works, though."

"Maybe," Tony said. "I can't really PA for a TV show when I'm in film school, though. The days are too long. I might be able to pick up some second unit work, though."

"That's something, anyway." Dinah sighed. "Is Lee going back to Vancouver? Or staying in New York?" Woes at that idea, too.

"I don't know yet. It depends if they extend the run of Pong!" Tony said.

Dinah pulled a face. "Well, hopefully he'll be back on the west coast by the time you're at college there." That much long distance would just blow. It was going to blow for her and Tony, too, with time zones and dimension hopping and... "We so are going to have to get frequent flyer miles with Portalocity."
