Graduation Weekend Brunch | Early Afternoon | Sunday | May 2

With the ceremony completed and the graduated officially done with their high school careers, a brunch had been planned to celebrate the occasion and allow graduates, their guests, and the other inhabitants of the island to enjoy some good food and good conversation outside. The weather was warm and the sky was clear.

Fraser had been busy helping set up since the early morning hours. Apparently, Dean Stinson had gone a little overboard with some of the food, particularly the cake. The huge sheet cake arrived via truck and, where Fraser thought he'd be able to carry it, ended up having to use a forklift to get it to the park. From there, it took several people to lift the cake onto a table of its own. It was that big. Fraser hoped everyone enjoyed and hoped everyone was prepared to take a lot of cake home.

There were also several other tables of food and drinks, ready to be enjoyed. There were tables and chairs situated around the park, covered by tents to keep it from becoming too warm.

And there was cake. Please don't forget the cake.

[Mingling | Food | Tables and Chairs | Edges of the Park | OOC | OCD is up! Post is open to EVERYONE! Have fun!]

Arthur gave him an honest incline of his head for the equal honesty. "Likewise," he said, "On your stay there."

"Oh, I'm sure it will be interesting." He smiled, mostly to himself. "And when I deem things stable enough, you'll have an invitation to visit."

If nothing else, Arrakeen was probably a lot more impressive than Camelot.

"I'll look forward to that," Arthur said, with a slight, polite, if not entirely ungenuine smile. "I wish I could offer the same."

"Well, perhaps access to your world will be easier in the future," Leto replied.

Of course, that didn't necessarily mean that Arthur would want Leto to visit.

"Access might be," Arthur granted, "Safe passage while my father rules Camelot is another issue."

"Even for people who chose to hide whatever abilities they have that resemble magic?" Leto raised an eyebrow.

"Leto, your eyes would be enough to garner suspicion," Arthur said, frankly.

Leto could have said something about Arthur's father being overly suspicious, but he didn't. Instead he shrugged. "It sounds like you are needed at home."

"I am," he agreed, and added, with a hint of melancholy he normally wouldn't have shown near Leto at all, "Let's hope he won't have sent armies out looking for me." That'd mean a lot of dead magic users.

Leto noted that. "The burden of power." He smiled a little. "Would his armies have won if they had been sent out?"

"He would have gone after the druids," Arthur agreed. "They would not be able to stand against him."

"And if he had found them not guilty after that?" Leto asked.

"They're druids," Arthur said, "They are guilty by association." In Arthur's father's eyes, anyway.

"I see." Leto nodded. "So what are your plans when you return?" Getting rid of the father seemed like a good idea, but not a very likely one for Arthur to come up with.

His plans involved rather a substantial amount of fights with his father about policies, but.

"I intend to return and serve my father, as I always have."

"I wish you good luck." And this too was truly meant.

"And good luck to you as well, Prince Leto," Arthur said, formally. If not unmeant, no.

Leto gave a small nod in reply, then smiled, meeting Arthur's gaze. If there was a hint of flirtation in that look, it was only because Leto thought he was being funny. Then he turned and walked off.
