With the ceremony completed and the graduated officially done with their high school careers, a brunch had been planned to celebrate the occasion and allow graduates, their guests, and the other inhabitants of the island to enjoy some good food and good conversation outside. The weather was warm and the sky was clear.

Fraser had been busy helping set up since the early morning hours. Apparently, Dean Stinson had gone a little overboard with some of the food, particularly the cake. The huge sheet cake arrived via truck and, where Fraser thought he'd be able to carry it, ended up having to use a forklift to get it to the park. From there, it took several people to lift the cake onto a table of its own. It was that big. Fraser hoped everyone enjoyed and hoped everyone was prepared to take a lot of cake home.

There were also several other tables of food and drinks, ready to be enjoyed. There were tables and chairs situated around the park, covered by tents to keep it from becoming too warm.

And there was cake. Please don't forget the cake.

"My living spaces are the epitome of taste and class, thank you," Chuck said. "Save for the pool table Nate wants to put in there. I don't even like pool."

"Have you ever played pool?" Sam asked. "It can be a classy game."

"Of course I've played pool," he said. "The only good thing I can say is that pool tables are excellent places to have sex."

Sam made a grossed out face. "No table is a good place to have sex," he said. "And pool is good for making money. If you're good at it, at least."

"Yeah, because I need to hussle people in pool to make money," he said. "And for the record, table sex is awesome. Especially if it's in a place where anybody could walk in."

That got another face out of Sam as he sighed at Chuck. "Not everyone wants to have people walking in when they have sex, for the record. It kind of ruins the mood."

"Maybe for you," Chuck said. "Some of us like the thrill of getting caught."

"I've only felt that way once," Sam said. "It was a rush, but not something I think I need to do again."

"If it wasn't your birthday I'd make fun of you for being such a prude," Chuck told him. "But since it is, I won't say anything."

"I'm grateful for the reprieve," Sam said with a laugh. "Hold onto that thought, and you can tell me tomorrow."

"Oh I'll probably find a whole new thing to make fun of you for tomorrow," Chuck teased. "You make it so easy for me."

"I'm so glad I can be useful," Sam said dryly. "I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't keep you entertained."
