Stark Industries | Saturday

So apparently Portalocity sucked, but that wasn't enough for Topher's parents to let him stay at school for Thanksgiving. He'd been hoping they would decide it wasn't worth the risk of him getting lost on some other planet somewhere, but halfway through his shift today he got the e-ticket in his email. Ugh.

So the absolute best way to deal with that was, naturally, to fix the nearest big metal thing he could find. Hooray for working through frustration!

MCA Basement, Saturday

After having some trouble calling back to Coruscant to talk to Gryph, Zayne decided to get started on something he'd been hoping to do. So instead of sitting upstairs in the lobby like normal, he left a sign saying, "If you need Zayne for anything, call 555-YMCA."

Between the Portalocity e-mails, a general bad feeling about things, and the fact that the basement apartment was gigantic and just opened up, Zayne was turning it into a security bunker. He needed armor plating for the floor and ceiling (which was what he was starting on right now) and probably needed a collection of non-lethal weapons to stock the place with.

Yep, when he was done, the people of MCA would have a brand new place to go and hunker down when things got rough.

... After thinking about it for a moment, Zayne realized that he probably shouldn't mention that to anyone looking for an apartment. It was probably something to bring up after they moved in so they wouldn't be too freaked out about it before they signed a lease.

[OOC: If you're interested in renting at MCA, there is one apartment available. Information on apartments is here.

Post is open to anyone who might be in the basement of an apartment building. I will be slow at times, though.]

The Gig, Saturday

Dani figured she would get a lot of paperwork done so she could get caught up after last weekend's distractions. She just hadn't counted on how comfy it was to lounge on a pile of hay while reading. Then a stable cat wandered by, jumped into her lap, and Dani succumbed to the power of the kitty nap field.

The Gig was open, though you'd have to wake up the owner if you wanted anything.

The Devil's Nest: Saturday, 19 November

Bo: not on a milk crate this week, nor was there chocolate sauce on the bar and whipped cream in her hair. She was, however, on her phone, if you count poking at the app buttons as "on."

While she'd never gotten into Twitter before now, since her life had mostly depended on keeping a low profile and not spewing things out to the rest of the universe on a regular basis, everybody seemed to be doing it these days. Even Portalocity had one, a fact she'd become aware of when they spammed her e-mail with fornicating gnomes and repeated announcements about discounts she wasn't even interested in. God, she'd only ever even used the place once, to get to Bristol.

So, since she couldn't tweet #portalocityfail without actually having a Twitter account, she was working on that.

Caritas | Saturday Evening

Wallace wasn't paying too much attention to much during his shift at Caritas even if he was around. He was busy on his phone trying to book a portal to Canada. Figures the portals would get screwy when he was trying to leave this town for good.
