Tara had spent the day before looking through her spellbooks to see if she could figure out what had gone wrong with the Janus spell, and had come to the conclusion the problem hadn't been on her end. At least, she didn't think so. She'd have to ask Wesley or someone to be sure.

Now that she was back in the shop, though, she couldn't resist going back over a couple of books she'd dismissed the first time, just to see if she could find another path. Most of her ongoing concern was about Kennedy, but if she was honest she'd admit some of it was just about the intellectual puzzle at this point.

She had a shipment of crystals to unpack, but she did that slowly and dreamily, as if her mind was elsewhere.

Toby was accustomed to the specials at the restaurant being something he couldn't pronounce or even spell. Which was why what the droids had apparently chosen for today had him doing a double take.

"Seriously?"

Seriously.

TODAY'S SPECIAL:
SNOW CONES

[ooc: ...i blame having to shovel snow for the first time in uh. seven years, maybe? i've been spoiled by living in an apartment in a city where it rarely snows in the first place.]

So Audrey had survived her first weird weekend, and figured that her being okay with that meant she was adjusting pretty well. She thought if everyone could just wake up normal tomorrow, that'd be good.

And then she came in and found week-old gum under her desk. "Oh come on, guys," she told the station at large. "That's gross at any age."

Ben had been trying to load the Portalocity website for a half hour when their email arrived in his inbox.

"Wait, what?" he said aloud, staring at his computer.

It was almost enough to distract him from all the helpful gay sex pop-up ads that kept showing up.

Kenzi rearranged the mannequins so they looked like they were dancing, and put a sign in the window.

HALF OFF SEXY CD's!
Romance your better half with more than just Barry!

Then she put on some tracks and settled in to read a couple novels.

Mary read the Portalocity email for the third time and groaned. It was bad enough that Portalocity was making it tough for customers to actually travel, but Mary had been planning to go to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. It looked like she should be planning on spending the holiday with Gunther.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel
Free Breakfast If Portalocity Screwed Up Your Travel Plans!
Today's Specials

Grilled Garlic Crostini

[Open! The OCD is on hold with customer service.]

Eric was at the club tonight with only Tiny for assistance. After reading Portalocity's email, he was on the phone with Pam to reassure himself she still existed. Jaina's paranoia was contagious, apparently.

The Devil's Nest was open!

Jessica scowled at the bar's phone. Stupid Bill. Stupid Eric. No, not the one in Fandom. She'd been bored and tried to call Fangtasia back home to bother talk to Pam, and Eric had pretended not to know who Pam was. Then she'd called Bill to find out if he'd found Sookie yet. At least he hadn't pretended not to know who she was, but for some reason he'd gone along with Eric and acted like he'd never heard of Pam.

She was so going to do a blog post about how older vampires thought they were so funny but were actually incredibly lame.
