Now firmly under the control of Mr. White, the Auditors were becoming a little... more coordinated. They had found some of their powers failing that morning, which was terrifying, but then Mr. White had given them that look and they had given in to their bodies' apprehensiveness and scurried off.

Now...

"We must learn more," Mr. White crowed loudly. "Most of the humans are in there." He pointed at the school. "That is a fact."

The hundreds of Auditors gathered in front of him nodded meekly.

"So we must study it from the inside," he continued, "This is also a fact."

Another unanimous nodding session.

"Those inhabiting the town are also of interest," he added, "Which is also a fact."

More nodding.

"They have proven hostile so far. Also a fact. That means we can only conclude one thing."

He held up the axe. A good chunk of the Auditors held up their own weapons, mostly because they didn't want to be singled out for another experiment.

"CHARGE!" Mr. White yelled.

The throat protested. Interesting.

Seven hundred Auditors charged through the streets of Fandom.

[[ ocd up! Have at! Note that after this, all of Fandom besides the school and dorms is gone, so be sure to read the OCD. Also, if you need an excuse to get your character out of the affected areas, the Auditors are everywhere and they're going to be very hard to miss. ]]

"You are mistaken in referring to me as a human," Emma informed them. "That is also a fact." If she was making sure she was between Jack and the Auditors, well, that was also a fact.

"And pitchforks and brooms are horrible weapons," Jack said, quite secure in his masculinity as he stayed behind the invulnerable one. "Another fact for your collection."

The Auditors tilted their heads, renewing their assessment of Emma.

"You are made of diamond," Ms. Pink observed.

"It must be a coating," Mr. Crimson decided. "Or she would be unable to walk."

"The joints would freeze up," Ms. Cranberry agreed. "We should open her up to be sure. We will learn much."

Ms. Pink helpfully pointed her pitchfork at Emma's midsection.

"Incorrect, again," Emma replied, and she didn't have to fake the bored or cold tone. It was just the way she was when she was shifted. "I am homo sapiens superior. I am far more evolved than a human and am composed of living organic diamond." ...no offense, Jack.

"I most assuredly do not recommend attempting to open me with your pitchfork, as it will be damaged." She made a little shoo-ing motion. "Have fun storming the bakery."

None offense taken: On this particular issue, Jack was willing to grant Emma genetic superiority.

"I've seen stronger things bounce right off of her," he concurred, which was a lie but might as well have been true. "Go bother someone else."

"We are not bothering," said Mr. Crimson. "If anything, your continued existence is beginning to bother us."

He was a loyal Mr. White devotee. "Poke her with the pitchfork."

Ms. Pink reached out to do just that, relying on her powers to strip away Emma's illogical nature while she did so.

It worked for a scrap of a second. Then her powers failed on her, and, well. Diamond trumphs pitchfork.

Illogical nature? Nothing was more logical than a Frost woman stripped of all emotional baggage!

"If you required a demonstration, I would have been happy to assist you," Emma said, and her smile was not exactly friendly. She wrapped her hand around the nearest piece of former-pitchfork-handle, ready to shove it through Mr. Crimson's head. "That was rude and unnecessary."
