The place was open tonight, and hopefully people had actually heard about or seen the signs for the Over 18 party. Otherwise... this was going to be lame, oops.

The bar was open in case anyone wanted to drink (imagine that), and the floor in the back room had been mostly cleared with the tables pushed back so people could mingle or eventually sleep if they ended up not wanting to trudge home later.

And there was a sign out.

Hello, incentive.

[So I am off to drive the sidestreets up to LA on a spare tire and will be trying to ping from my phone, LJ permitting. If not, I will ping back as soon as I get back omg.]

"Doesn't that usually end with sand in bad places?" Hercules joked, stepping over. He sadly was sans pajamas and wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

"No sand in these," Cindy said, holding up a Jello shot and wiggling it at him. "Just a little bit of Jello."

And a whole lot of alcohol...

"If I do one, will you?" Hercules said. "It seems only fair."

After all, he partied, by Herc's definition, 'smartly'.

"I'll be enjoying one of the chocolate-covered cherry ones, myself," Cindy said, plucking a plastic cup off the tray. "What tickles your fancy, hmm?"

"The beach one," Hercules said, reaching to take one of the cups. "I always like the beach. And sex. And alcohol. So it is the best choice!"

Cindy saluted Herc with her little plastic cup and then poked her tongue on the side, sliding it around the perimeter to loosen the Jello. Then she slung the shot back, swallowing it whole, save for the cherry in the middle.

"I can't disagree with your assessment," she said, licking away a hint of whipped cream. "But I also like chocolate and cream, too."

"Well, I've always been quite fond of a woman who likes her cream," Hercules said, because the situation just sort of called for it.

Hercules managed to down his shot partially through the power of sheer suction. He was often king of brute strength over finesse.

Which often explained his flirting techniques.

Yeah. Herc and subtlety didn't seen to go hand and hand. Or even have a nodding acquaintance with one another. They were like two ships, passing in the night...

...On the opposite ends of the hemisphere.

"Would you like a chocolate one?" Cindy asked. "I like to see a man who knows his way around a cherry."

"Well then," Hercules said, reaching gingerly to take another of the shots. "Let me show the dexterity and deftness that has made me world-renowned!"

And he did so. While he was not a king of subtlety, there were certain things he knew how to do quite well.

Cindy was grinning by the time Hercules finished his second Jello shot. The cherries had spent the night being soaked in cake vodka before being set in the Jello. "Very nicely done," she complimented. "I take it you're a fan of...Jello shots?"

Hercules actually had a pleasantly surprised look on his face after that surprise soaked cherry. "Oh, well, I'm a fan of many things. I pride myself on my... flexibility."

"Oh?" Cindy asked, eyebrow slowly climbing towards her hairline, even as her smile grew wider. "That sentence can mean a whole lot of things, depending on what you meant by 'flexibility.'"

"I'm pretty sure that was the point of the sentence," Hercules replied, beaming back at her.

Cindy laughed. "Then who am I to rob you of your masculine mystique," she said. "Having fun?"

"Very much so," Hercules said. "This is the best party I've been to in ages. With the best of company, as well."
