The place was open tonight, and hopefully people had actually heard about or seen the signs for the Over 18 party. Otherwise... this was going to be lame, oops.

The bar was open in case anyone wanted to drink (imagine that), and the floor in the back room had been mostly cleared with the tables pushed back so people could mingle or eventually sleep if they ended up not wanting to trudge home later.

And there was a sign out.

Chloe's eyes went wide with an impressed look. "Did you want to become mortal? This...isn't exactly the best place to stay safe, in case you haven't noticed."

"Well who said I wished to stay safe?" Hercules said with a chuckle. "I wouldn't say I wanted to become mortal. It was what happened after I used every once of godly power I'd gained to help reset the universe after the Chaos King tried to unwrite existence. So while I might not have intended it, it was spent on a worthy cause."

"That sounds like a very worthy cause," she said, trying to imagine that. "I hope you never need my services, but I can say the clinic is really good here."

Hercules chuckled. "It's probably inevitable. Being a hero tends to get you banged up from time to time. Last time I got stabbed in the back with a pair of garden shears!"

By a crazed little girl, but that didn't need to be shared.

"Yeeeah, you might want to avoid that, obviously," Chloe said. "I guess even mortality can't stop you from trying to help people, huh?" He'd probably get along well with Clark.

He even flexed to show off his bicep. Because he could.

Okay, Chloe couldn't resist touching a flexed bicep, even on someone she barely knew. "Oh, very nice," she said with a laugh. "Now I know who to go to if I ever need to be strongly defended."

"My door is always open," Hercules said. "Though you look the type who could properly defend herself if the situation called for it. Not that I don't enjoy assisting capable strong women in those sorts of situations."
