Caritas, Monday

Jake was in a pretty good mood as he came in to work today. The kids' graduation had come and gone- well, not without incident, but with... fairly self-contained incident. Let's put it that way. Handwavily seeing people visit with their friends and family had made him think maybe he ought to go back to St. John's for a couple days, just to catch up with everyone. And maybe rub his father's face in the fact that he'd managed to build a pretty successful life here in Fandom, yes.

"Clearly not," Quinn said, with a glance in the same direction. "I like singing fine, but I've managed to avoid the zombies for two years. I want to keep that streak going."

"Not even one for the road? Just to say that you've performed with a zombie band?" Bruce nudged. He didn't expect it to happen, and being near that stench was probably the last thing someone wanted on their birthday, but it was worth a shot.
