Jake was in a pretty good mood as he came in to work today. The kids' graduation had come and gone- well, not without incident, but with... fairly self-contained incident. Let's put it that way. Handwavily seeing people visit with their friends and family had made him think maybe he ought to go back to St. John's for a couple days, just to catch up with everyone. And maybe rub his father's face in the fact that he'd managed to build a pretty successful life here in Fandom, yes.

Quinn got a diet coke -- though she did get a cherry in it, wild woman she was -- and settled in in the lounge.

Even if it ended up being a quiet birthday, just being out was nice.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?" Quinn shrugged, reaching up for a hug. "I didn't have the energy to try to put together something big, not this close to graduation. Drinks with a few friends is about right this year."

"I hope not quite yet," Quinn said, smiling. "but you never know. Maybe it'll come on overnight and tomorrow I'll wake up with a bizarre desire to watch CNBC nonstop and talk about my taxes."

Since Bruce didn't have much to do with all of his stuff being either packed up or on their way to Gotham already, he figured he could take some time to head out for Quinn's birthday. He wasn't doing anything else anyway.

Of course, that just was over-the-top joking narrative. In reality, he was glad to come out to celebrate. He ordered a ginger ale at the bar and made his way over to the lounge, drink in hand.

"Hello, Rilla. Of course I did," Bruce said. Well, he heard a lot of people cheering for him. Presumably Rilla was in there. He thought he heard a 'Wayne' somewhere in there, so that was probably her calling him by his last name as usual. "And thank you for that. It means a lot that you were there."

Annie had maybe been a little glad to have an excuse to get out of her room and away from the depressing packing. And okay, maybe it was a bar, but it wasn't like she'd never been in here before. She got herself a Coke and had Tino put a little grenadine in it and got to feel a little daring.
