Caritas, Saturday
It was disgustingly hot outside, so, naturally, April was occupying herself by sending Tino on regular errands to pick up things the bar was missing. Every time he came back, she "noticed" something else they were out of -- ideally, things that could only be purchased on the mainland.
April was very mean.
Unfortunately, it was while Tino was already out on a particularly long run to pick up sour mix that April noticed something they were actually missing.

And lo, a cold drink was slid across the bar in his general direction.
"Congratulations," April said dryly.

Oh, Atton, no.
Re: The Bar
Hey now, April. He was fake-seventeen.

Jonothon was making sad faces at you, April. Sad, sad faces, made all the more pouty by virtue of it being Jono's face in the first place. He'd come all this way for cold drinks, in that heat...
"Good lord, is that even legal?" In this heat? No! It couldn't be! "You don't have an ice machine back there? Or can it not keep up?"
Re: The Bar
And that was good enough for her, as far as investigation was concerned.
Re: The Bar
"Well, is there anything chilled? Bottled beer?"
Because only heathens put ice in beer in the first place.
Re: The Bar
"Yes," she declared. "We have that."
So... want some, Jono?
Re: The Bar
Or to risk it warming up from that brief contact with the insufferable summer air while pouring.
Re: The Bar
"All yours," she said, setting the bottle on the bar in front of him.
...Unopened. Because April lived to make things difficult.

"Easy," April declared. "We can do that in, what, like a week?"
Uh, probably not.
Re: The Bar
"I suppose that depends mostly on," how coherent they wanted this thing to be, "whether or not we're at all free at about the same time. But remember, we'd have to write something long enough to actually fill an entire hour and some, unless we were looking for something more... concise."
There was something to be said for short film? Maybe?
Jono still looked dubious.
Re: The Bar
Except when there was, but anyway.
"End of July, we start putting up flyers?"

Re: The Bar
It was too hot for life, kid. Jonothon did not have any obligation to be polite in heat like this.
Re: The Bar
"If they want my ice cubes, they can take the glass with them," he said. "To the face maybe."
Re: The Bar
Jono just wanted to see you dumped into the duck pond unawares, Atton.
Re: The Bar
So being a prick it was.
"Nah," Atton drawled. "Too much effort. Got heatstroke?"
