The Unexplored Wooded Area, Sunday Afternoon

It had been made clear to Ron that there was a strange problem going about the island. This problem involved the sudden disappearance of many of the town's residents. Personally, he felt it was rather a matter of personal responsibility, but as the mayor he should make some effort to find them again.

And then advise them all to take some self-defense lessons. Because really now.

Anyway, he'd been scouting the woods for a while now. Rifle in hand, quiet, listening. Watching. So far? No hint of anything. Maybe they were all involved in a cult, like Communism.

...

There was a clearing. There was a very large clearing. Ron could not remember seeing this clearing on any maps. But it was there. And it was full of people-- in various stages of dress (and that dress varied from the weird to the bizarre)-- sprawled across the grass.

"Definitely a cult."

He cleared his throat and backed away. They could deal with... their own business.

Waking up from being dead was an experience Derek never expected. Because he was not Peter.

So, when Derek sat up and looked around, he was mildly confused. "What happened?"

Pinkie sat up somewhere not terribly far away. Her mane and tail were a mess.

"Omigosh! I got eaten!" She . . . didn't sound terribly upset by that. "Isn't that just the silliest thing?! Did you get eaten, too? I was all 'hi! Let's be friends!' and the thing in the dark was all *sluuuuuuurp!*"

That was Pinkie for you. Practically trauma proof.

Anakin was not in his usual attire at all, and was hoping that everyone else in their scraps of clothing wouldn't pay much attention to his giant black cape and weird breathing apparatus on the front of his jumpsuit.

And that he could escape before any relatives--who would recognize the outfit for what it was--could stop to ask questions.

Yeeeeah, good luck with that. Because there was a Jaina, looking exactly as you'd expect her to look after a fight.

Peter woke up spread-eageled in the grass, staring up at the sky. Normally he wouldn't have cared, but right now, that shade of pastel blue-with-clouds oh god it was the best thing ever.

He took a long, shuddering breath.

"...did anyone bring a mobile phone?"

"I do! And I have a signal! ...and many email notifications."

"Riiiight, don't go near the creepy stone angels," Josh said to the sky. "Check."

The way Kaidan just woke up wasn't really all that different from the way he'd woken up on Tuesday, propped up against a vertical surface (in this case, a tree) and utterly bewildered.

He had a few scratches and bruises on him this time, sure. But that was about it.

Natalie was bruised and battered and everything on her was dirty. But she was no longer in a dungeon, and no one was trying to kill her. So that was a plus. She winced as a few spots on her body protested at movement, and started to get up.

Kind of hoping she'd make it back to the dorms before having a nice good cry because everything was going to bleed out soon now that she could consider relaxing.

Raven almost panicked when she appeared in the sunlight, afraid she was going to burst into flames. But she didn't, and the struggle that had been going on inside her seemed to have ceased. She didn't waste time thinking about it, though, as she got up and began to look around for her friends, one most of all.

"Raven?" Dinah was swaying a little in relief. "Hey, how are you doing?"

There was one person who was decidedly more happy underground than he was out here in the sunshine: one cursing, smoking Viking vampire who was using his supernatural speed to get back to his apartment as soon as superhumanly possible.

Stupid sunshine.

Atton woke up with a loud sneeze followed by a litany of words from some unholy Huttese/Twi'lek hybrid he'd picked up.

He was still angry, yeah. Really angry. But it was hard to focus on that when he couldn't stop sneezing.

Annie woke up, which was surprising to her when the last thing she remembered was dying. Again.

But she was here, in her pajamas, super confused, and if she saw that vampire girl she was going to hit her so hard.

Several things happened at once when Allie appeared in the clearing.
First, the sudden pull of the sun that she hadn't felt in several days hit her with an abrupt feeling of extreme lethargy. Then she screeched in pain as that same sun started to burn her exposed arms and skin.

Instinct had Allie throwing herself towards then ground and sinking into the cool and welcoming darkness.

Anyone looking for her would have to come back after the sun set. Hopefully with a bottle of True Blood in their hand. She was going to be hungry.

Buffy woke up with a jolt, immediately pulling herself up off the ground just in case another fight was about to go down.

When it became clear everything was back to normal she flopped back down onto the ground. "I'm gonna have to burn these pajamas."

Well that had definitely been something.

Mike was still looking a little frazzled as he got up. He needed a long shower and an even longer nap.

All right, even Liara realized she may have been overusing that phrase these past few days. Still, it was applicable here, what with the sitting up and the sky and the--

"...I told Karolina I would talk to her after the weekend."

Kitty woke up with a jolt, still expecting to have to fight. And when it sank in that nothing was trying to kill her at the moment, she started looking around for people and if she didn't see everyone she thought should be there, so help her.

Kitty probably didn't have to look far to spot Clint, although she might have heard him first, groggily swearing up a storm as he woke up.

One minute Bel was fighting, the next he was walking up on the ground in the woods.

"What the hell?" he said as he sat up, then he began to look around for Phoebe and Piper.

Phoebe had been fighting and then everything had changed. She woke up and found herself in the woods. She sat up and then got to her feet.

"Cole? Piper?"

That was when she also realized her empathy was back and she could feel everyone again.

Everything happened so strangely that when Sia woke up, she took a moment to make sure that she hadn't been killed and hadn't realized it. But no, she was still breathing, the aches and pains that came after a fight were there, and she was pretty sure this was all over.

The thing she was most grateful for, though, was that she hadn't left her lightsaber this time.

"Oh thank god," Priestly breathed from where he was sprawled face down in the grass. He pressed his hand into the dirt, and was relieved when the scrapes and scratches didn't sting at him. His leg felt better, too, no longer itching and aching, and a quick run of his hand over his head indicated the ears were gone. "We got a reset."

He rolled over to sit up and bit back a strangled yowl when the move jostled the bit of arrow still sticking out of his back.

Almost.

"^Fuck!"

Dinah had brought Raven over to Priestly, and he knelt beside him, frowning at the arrow. "Hello, Priestly," she said. "Please, allow me to help you." She'd need to get the rest of the arrow out, though, and she wasn't sure she could easily pull it out.

She looked up at Dinah. "Dinah, can you pull the arrow out? I will make sure there is no pain."

Dinah was just spinning to hit a zombie-- and kept moving, falling over to look up at blue sky. She stared.

"Jesus." Give her a minute. She'd really, really thought they were gonna die there.

"Dinah?" Priestly called. He'd made it to his feet and was now walking around, holding his still slinged arm tight against his body with his good hand. "You okay?"

Jim had never been happier to be flat on his back, looking up at blue sky.

"Oh, thank fuck," he muttered, pushing himself up and dusting himself off. Now, it was gonna repression time. Not hard, he did it enough. But, he did let relief flow through him.

That'd been a close one.

One moment, Gwynn was fighting back to back with Tim against some really smelly creatures...

...the next thing she knew she was waking up in the woods. She sighed, watching the sky.

"Tim, we definitely need a real vacation." A beat, and then. "Eve is going to kill us for disappearing on her."

Naomi was relieved when she woke up and found herself lying on the grass.

She would get up in a minute, right then she was content to stay where she was and be glad that she was back in Fandom.

Well, that hadn't been the worst thing Sam had ever been through, but boy was he glad to be back in Fandom, even with the rude awakening.

Just give him a minute, and he might actually be capable of sitting up.

Emily basically jumped to her feet when she woke up. Well, she felt like crap, and then some.

"That's it, I'm packing and moving out of this crazy island," proclaimed as she tried to find a way out of the crowd.

She might be overreacting. Maybe.

Topher opened his eyes, but it wasn't until he poked himself in the eye with one of the links of his bracelet that he woke up fully enough to process what had happened. Angel statues had zapped him and Ace, and now... he was here. With everyone else, apparently.

His vocalized response to all that was truly indicative of his high intellect.

"Huh?"

Topher had a good few seconds to rest, and then Billy was on top of him, arms wrapped around him to cling. "Oh em gee that sucked so bad, please tell me you're okay," he said quickly.
