Promptly at 8:00, the zombie band started playing music and the bassist lurched forward to do an interpretive dance explaining the rules of the dates. It wasn't long before Tino was pushing Johnny on stage while holding cue cards.

"Dude, seriously, I just came here for a drink. We just got back. What the hell?" Johnny asked. Tino held up a cue card. "I'm not dating. I have a girlfriend." Tino put the cue card down and held up a leather jacket and a pocket knife. "Hey hey hey wait. Where'd you get that?" With his pocket knife hand, Tino reached back down for the cue card. "Okay, fine. Just don't hurt the jacket. That thing means a lot to me."

"Ahem. Welcome to Three Minute Dates! If you're lucky, you might just get matched with me, Joanie Storm, come on, man, you got my name-- No, no, you're right. Joanie. Anyway, good luck and good dating." Johnny pointed to the assembled daters, mirroring an exaggerated point Tino was doing at that moment. "Seriously man, this is a weird level of dedication."

Epic OCD begins. is up MERE HOURS later than usual. Apologies again for any overnight and/or timezone inconveniences. I'm going back to sleep now.

If I made a blatant mistake, like skipping a character completely for a round or posting a pairing twice, feel free to grab me on AIM or in the OOC thread and I'll make a quick fix.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.

Travis was kind of tired by the time he got to the bar but he wasn't going to let that stop him. He grabbed a drink first to hopefully get some energy.

Amy was here... well, she didn't know why she was here. It certainly wasn't to sign up for this thing. But when she saw that it was going on, she checked her phone, saw a total of zero messages, steeled her shoulders and signed herself up.

This was going to be awkward.

After dropping stuff back in his room, Johnny made his way over to the bar. "I'll have a-- Hey, what's going on?"

That's right, before he could even finish his drink order, Tino came out from behind the bar, grabbed his arm, and started to lead Johnny to the stage. Something had to be done, that zombie was NOT communicating effectively.

Bruce walked into the bar, fully intending to not participate and just people watch, perhaps with a note of wistfulness about how often he'd participated in this event as a young man.

As Tino passed over his drink, it was explained that there was on odd number and the matchups weren't working.

"Sign me up," Bruce sighed. "I owe you for years of exceptional bartending." He was not going to enjoy all the standing up and sitting down, dammit.

Sorry for getting this up hours later than usual. It's been a long week, I didn't have a chance to do the lineups before last night, and by the time I had those finished, I needed at least a couple hours of sleep.

Please note that between the late timing and the matching gymnastics required with a lighter than usual turnout, the chances of me having don something VERY DUMB are much higher than normal. If I did anything VERY DUMB, please let me know and I will fix it ASAP. Thanks!
