Homecoming 2019, Town Hall, Saturday Evening

This year, the folks at the Student Council had decided on a Homecoming theme of cyberpunk fairytales - with all the creepy stuff going on, a positive, brighter spin on the genre would surely be appreciated, right? Neon-painted billboards of castles and princesses covered the walls, next to glitter-covered robots (because there always needed to be glitter) wearing bright translucent dresses and leather jackets.

The creepy paintings didn't really take away from the effect, especially since they'd been covered in glitter too. Take that, island!

Tony was just going to try to puzzle put what the Japanese billboard had on it. And avoid the glitter as best he could.

He had a fine sheen of glitter no matter what he did.

Steve knew better to even attempt whatever cyberpunk meant. He was in a blue suit and a green tie, which was wild enough for him.

"Nice suit," Tony said like he hadn't helped with it at all.

He was far more flamboyant with a silver 80s style suit. Because he cpuld pull it off.

"Yours is much shinier," Steve said with a grin.

There was not much here shinier than Tony's suit.

"The glitter doesn't help." He looked like he'd gone to a strip club.

Steve snickered. "It does bring a certain something to your outfit."

"Don't laugh," Tony replied dryly. "One way or another, you'll be covered in it to before the night's over."

"Dirty?" Steve teased.

"Very," Tony replied with a little sniff.

Steve laughed and kissed his nose. "Well, I know I can't lose you in the crush here."

"You'll keep me safe from the paintings," Tony agreed, smiling and rolling his eyes at him.

"Oh, always," Steve promised. "You're on your own if the clowns come back."

"Captain America draws the line at creepy clowns. Good to know." He would use this knowledge for evil.

"Are there people who like creepy clowns?" Steve asked.

"Other creepy clowns?" Tony ventured.

"And they form creepy clown...posses," Steve said. "Or something."

"Please never Google Juggalos," Tony replied. Because that would be A Thing.

"Okay," Steve said slowly. "Why?"

"Future stuff?" Also Juggalos.

Steve laughed. "You're making that up, but I won't look."

"Its for your protection," Tony promised him.

"Always lookin' out for me," Steve said with a little grin.

"You would do the same for me," Tony replied, smoothing the lines of Steve's jacket.

Steve smiled at him. "I might get slightly protective about you, yes."

"Might?" Oh, Steve.
