Caritas; Wednesday [03/03].
Summer didn't want to ask.
She really, really didn't want to ask, but ever since she came in that night, Tino had been acting very quiet and weird and introspective, like he was contemplating something very deep and mysterious, to the point where it was sort of affecting his work performance, and, despite the fact that she knew she would regret it, the curiousity managed to get the better of Summer, and she went ahead and opened that dangerous can of worms called 'asking Tino what was on his mind'.
"It's just that," he started, brow creasing with distress and worry, "what if cats and dogs had opposable thumbs??"
Summer just shook her head and went to go work at the other end of the bar, because, really, really, she only had herself to blame, she should have known better.

Re: The Bar - 03/03.
She was fairly sure there wasn't.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
So there.
But there was something else she was going to pester Seivarden about when she came in that she'd been waiting several days for that would also probably effectively sway her away from how she was a terrible bartender with absolutely no pulse on the field.
"So," she added, setting down a glass of water, too, since she really couldn't predict what Seivarden was drinking on any given day as well anymore, "flirting over tea, huh?"
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
To clarify: "There was no flirting. Sorry to disappoint you."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Plus, it quite possibly had the best timing to forget about things that had happened just prior so that she didn't have to think or talk about them ever!
"My wallet may have suffered a little," she admitted, "but that was a sacrifice I was more than willing to make."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
This topic was partly a distraction right now, because Seivarden hadn't forgot Summer trying to avoid talking about the weekend before. They would get back to that.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
"Ooooh," Summer's expression was very approving. "Good thinking. Get everyone after a week of having to get back into the slog of their normal routines. Assuming, of course, that the island doesn't/ throw something at us now that we're all back, but sometimes that'll just make it more interesting."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
"I'm hoping it won't," Seivarden said. "Anyway pizza rolls on toothpicks, mimosas and some beer, wine and things for people to mix themselves. I have a bottle of really good arrak too."
She grinned. "If I put a pizza roll with ham on a toothpick, do you think I can persuade Amaya it's meat on a stick?"
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
"Just keep pineapple out of it," Summer said, making a face, "but, yeah, I don't think that'll take too much convincing, Amaya's never really struck me as someone who's all that discerning about her meats on sticks...
"How are things with the two of you, by the way?" she asked. "Since you got back."
Since she knew things weren't exactly great with Lucifer...
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Maybe not entirely, but since neither of them were going to talk about feelings, they could at least pretend it was, in Seivarden's opinion. At least she wasn't deliberately trying to be hurtful.
"I'm just not sure how to suggest actual movie nights without that being misinterpreted."
She expected Summer to know what she was talking about.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
So she just sort of eyed Seivarden a little bit because come on.
"Maybe just suggest a movie and just, you know, watch it?" she offered. "Or if you think she's in that much of a hurry to drop her panties for you," x doubt, "just do it on the weekend when Ignis is around, too.
"I mean, she could be into that, too, in which case, honestly? More power to her."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
That was probably TMI, but best be clear here.
"Good point about Ignis, though."
She reached for the Moscow Mule.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Seriously, that one was way too easy, she almost felt bad about it.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Seivarden gave her a look, but couldn't hold back a laugh.
"I'm sure he makes perfect meats on sticks, judging from what I've seen."
That one was way too easy too, and she was being ridiculous.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Seivarden downed the Moscow Mule.
"I'm going to leave him to teach that kind of cooking to Amaya, though. Or maybe that prince he works for."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Then a quick change of topic, hopefully sudden enough to catch Summer unprepared: "But you never told me about that weekend."
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Which meant she would try. She was still very much herself, even with the best of intentions.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
"I just meant... if something upset you, I do care. I, well, if you don't want to tell me, I'll just have another jello shot instead."
She smiled.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
But she was caught up in being avoidy about it enough that she was just going to look Seivarden straight dead in the eye as she asked, "A lobster one?"
Keeping that grin from cracking was a Herculean effort, too. Herculean. But she pulled it off, all the same.
Re: The Bar - 03/03.
There were limits.
