Caritas; Wednesday [05/05].

Oh? What was that? Some other country's holiday that basically turned into just another excuse to drink in this country just so happen to fall on a Wednesday again? Oh noooo, what a shame, it looked like Summer would have to go all out on a theeeeme again, how traaaagic.

So. If you didn't know already, today was Cinco de Mayo, and Caritas was all decked out accordingly for the occasion.

But, you know, like, tastefully, or whatever, but Summer would also like to point out that her maternal surname was Sanchez, so she probably had just as much a claim for usurping Cinco de Mayo as she, a redhead named Smith, had for usurping St. Patrick's Day.

Also, it was literally just an excuse to party. You really didn't need to go any deeper than that.

Yeah, if Summer actually imploded, that's how you'd know thing had gotten really bad.

Things had teetered pretty dangerously close, though. She knew that, and was trying her best not to think about it too much.

"I looooooove it when they're all bright-eyed newbs," she gushed out with a happy, fond sort of sigh, and that reminded her that she should probably check in on Nick some time soon. "It's adorable."

"Last I checked in with my last teaching buddy," Summer noted, "he was still clinging preeeetty tight onto his denial. I got a stubborn one last time around...it's almost kind of impressive."

"Since the start of last semester!" Summer said brightly. "And, honestly, I should check in with him more, but I'd be willing to put money down on the fact that he still refuses to acknowledge the existence of the zombies. That was one of the first things we talked about, so I feel that's a good margin for that kind of thing with him."
