Caritas; Wednesday [12/08].

Some people kept a supply of potable water on hand for emergencies; Summer kept a supply of potable water on hand because she wasn't going to let eggnog in the pipes stop her from making her Wednesday night jello shots! And then got prepared to have people boggle over how she'd managed to still do her jello under the current circumstances as if basic emergency prep on an island where emeregencies happened all the time was, like, some mind blowing thing.

There were always a few.

One of them, apparently, was Tino, but she was not even going to give that the time of day, considering he was also making a big deal out of just cocoa and eggnog coming out of the beertaps as if bottled beer didn't exist or something.

Sometimes, she was pretty sure he was just like this on purpose.

Either way, there was booze, there was karaoke, there were at least two Christmas trees there since Summer had agreed to take two of them from the store earlier as if that would even make a dent in their overflow supply, and it was Wednesday, baby!

Or just sing because it's fun and really more people should be doing it, and Summer can't be the only one with "Last Christmas" seemingly suck in her head on repeat right now, right?

So, those jello shots had handwavely happened earlier in the night. And not one to go back on his word, (really, how could he even think of disappointing Summer at this point?) Dwight found himself up on the stage. Where there so conveniently happened to be a guitar seemingly waiting for him.

So yes, this was going to happen and you all could either sit and enjoy it or you could sit there and hate it... but if Dwight was going to get through four songs like he had agreed to for some reason, it was happening all in one go. Cuz odds were, it would take a good bit of convincing and some more liquid courage to get him back on the stage again... that night at least. Though, he had to admit it was kinda nice to be doing this again. It had been a while.

Liz couldn’t believe that she was doing karaoke again so soon after the party but here she was about to sing one of her favourite Beatles songs and started to sing.

She was still extremely nervous like before but she had often sung along to the Beatles songs so she already knew the words so that helped a lot and she actually sounded pretty good all things considering.

"But," she added, "you do have to do all four shots, too."

You would think after the party that Goose would have learned his lesson after all those shots but no he was back at the bar again this week as well.

Liz wasn’t too sure why she had decided to try Caritas tonight since she knew it was a popular bar night but she figured she had been here a couple of months and should maybe try socialising a bit more, especially after the party when she realised how few people she did know. She figured it wouldn’t hurt to spend a little time at the bar.

She approached the bar cautiously, “um …hi,” she said, still a bit unsure.

"Oh, hey!" Summer brightened with that very particular brightness and rush that came whenever a face that didn't usually sidle up to the bar showed up. "Quiet girl from the bakery that one time!" Summer was pretty sure she remembered Liz's name, but since she wasn't completely sure, she figured that was safer. "What can I get for you?"

"But, oh, yeah," she flashed him a grin, "definitely. After Sunday, I was good to go."

Considering she'd actually worked four jobs in as many days since then....

Annie had been stuck in New York since shortly after her apartment had been set to rights over the weekend, and had arrived back in Fandom looking forward to a long shower -- maybe even a bubble bath! -- after having to deal with shareholders and executives sucking up to her all day at Vought's Christmas benefit.

So. Don't mind the narrow-eyed glare at the specials before Annie decided, "Brownie sounds good."

Honestly, it was her own fault for not anticipating the eggnog thing. She'd been here last year.

"Well, that sounded loaded," said Summer, placing the brownie shot dutifully before Annie. "Either you forgot about the whole eggnog of it all, or you have a newfound vendetta again ranch dressing."

But since Annie was from the Midwest, Summer doubted it would be the latter.

And, with that said and the shots neatly lined up, she looked over them proudly before giving him a nod and a smile. "Mr. Morningstar. How are we this evening?"

Summer gave Jesse a wan smile. "There are reasons half the back room at T&C is just jugs of water for days like these. Thankfully," she set a familiarly generic bottle in front of her, "everything in containers already are fine."

Her eyes then danced over Jesse's hair for any notable new accessories.
