Oh, man. What a great week so far, and Summer was thrilled about it and in a great mood that evening, so great that she was back to showing off some bar tricks for her TikTok in her (very limited) downtime. Tino offered to help her film them, but she knew he was terrible and so she was good with just propping up her phone at a distance and hoping the supports didn't give way half-way through.

But, seriously, how could she not be in a great mood? Her classes were done for the semester, her boyfriend was back, and Troy's stupidity had actually made her life a little easier with his guerilla hiring practices.

Granted, since it was getting to be the end of the semester, she was pretty sure there was some real bullshit heading their way soon, but that was all the more reason to really this high while she still could!

Also it helped that she managed to convince Tino to wear one of those fake red noses from the gremlins hiding out in the back room. She knew they were going for the whole red-nosed reindeer thing, obviously, but it just made him look more like himself: a complete and total clown.

After leading Liz up to the stage, Prompto bounced over to the zombies to talk with them about what they were playing and what prompts were going up on the screen, and then he bounced back to give her a mic and a big grin as the music started up.

"Sorry if you don't know it!" he managed to get out, almost desperately because it had seemed like a a pretty well-known one, but he didn't know anything about these sorts of things and his line was the first one and now it was coming up and there was no turning back now!

"Don't go breaking my heart~"

Hoo, boy, he hoped he didn't mess this up! Especially now!

Liz grinned as she took the mic and managed to not drop it despite her nerves and the music started up, “no I know this one,” she assured him and then Prompto started the song and it was her turn.

“I couldn’t if I tried…” she sang.

Sometime much much later in the evening when she and Prompto had finished singing, Liz decided to keep the Beatles theme going from last week and got up and sang.

She still couldn’t believe after all this she was actually doing this.

It was definitely going to be the Prompto and Liz show on the stage that night, because, well, if she was going to do a solo in addition to their duet, then he was going to take the opportunity to rock out a song he'd been wanting to do one of these evenings for a while now.

He was good and warmed up, too, so you know he was giving it his all.

Rey was definitely not in as good a mood as Summer, but that was absolutely going to take a backseat to bar tricks.

"I am," Summer informed her, almost importantly, as her tongue slipped out of the corner of her mouth a little in concentration as she managed to flip a shaker, do a quick spin, and catch it on the return to give a triumphant pose to her phone. Then, laughing, she went to set the shaker down and stop the video and turn her attention to Rey.

"But hopefully not for much longer," she said. "How's it going, Rey? What're we getting you tonight?"

In a bold move, Stark was going to talk to someone other than the bartender this evening. Shocking, really. But he hadn't really spoken to Rey since she'd been small and saying hello seemed like a good idea. and sometimes the internet breaks so what are you gonna do?

"I haven't seen you to talk to you recently." That was sort of like a hello, right?

“Well I’m not glittery this week,” Goose announced as he sat at the bar that evening and there was a pause, “or covered in eggnog,” he paused, “and that’s something I never thought I’d be saying,” he remarked with a grin.

"I meaaaaan," said Summer, shooting Goose an easy grin back with an almost mischevious glint ot her eyes, "both of those things would be super easy to fix right now. I don't think being glittery is ever a bad thing, although it did seem to like to cling to you a little more than most, which...considering it's glitter, is saying a lot.

"What're we getting you tonight, Goose?" she then ventured. "I'm kind of sad I actually didn't do a glitter one tonight now."

Liz was extremely nervous this evening when she turned up at the bar. She had asked Prompto to sing a duet with her at karaoke and he was picking what song...

How had she agreed to do this again?

“Good evening Summer,” Liz smiled as she sat at the bar, trying to not think about the karaoke.

Jon came in and sat on a stool, waiting for Summer to come over. He smiled and gave her an only slightly awkward wave. "Hello. How are you today?"

"Do you need someone to film you?" Annie asked after wandering in, taking a seat and catching a bit of the show. "Or is the angle working?"

Annie didn't even know why they were filming (sure, TikTok was the logical answer but there was also always the chance that Summer was trying out for, like, America's Got Bartenders, too) but she knew her way around a camera angle or two by now and, as always, was more than happy to help.

Plus she could use some distractions. Her boyfriend was still a cat, you see.

A freshly showered Barry showed up at the bar and placed himself down at the end to watch Summer do her bar tricks and whatnot. After all the bar was pretty busy tonight and he didn't want to distract Summer too much.

Oh, it had been a while since Summer had sent Amaya an oh-so-subtle suggestion to get down to the bar during one of her shifts with a not-at-all-specifically-tailored special, although she did appreciate that she went the blacksmith route and not the Former T&C Owners route, because both of them knew what that would inspire, and neither of them wanted to deal with....that.

It was a bit odd, though. Usually, this is what Summer did to get Amaya to talk someone into a drinking competition, namely someone who didn't really drink all that much and, last she knew, wasn't even around at the moment.

"Well, would you look at that," she noted, coming up to the bar and eyeing Summer for any sign of what she might be up to this time, "I just so happen to know a blacksmith!"

There are reindeer-dressed gremlins hiding out in there, occasionally knocking on the door because they think that's funny, get it, because they're already inside, but they're still knocking? Hilarious. They are ready to pelt you with fake red noses if you do actually go back there, though, and Summer thought about putting a warning sign on the door, but, no, no, the element of surprise could be way better in this situation.
