Oh, man. What a great week so far, and Summer was thrilled about it and in a great mood that evening, so great that she was back to showing off some bar tricks for her TikTok in her (very limited) downtime. Tino offered to help her film them, but she knew he was terrible and so she was good with just propping up her phone at a distance and hoping the supports didn't give way half-way through.

But, seriously, how could she not be in a great mood? Her classes were done for the semester, her boyfriend was back, and Troy's stupidity had actually made her life a little easier with his guerilla hiring practices.

Granted, since it was getting to be the end of the semester, she was pretty sure there was some real bullshit heading their way soon, but that was all the more reason to really this high while she still could!

Also it helped that she managed to convince Tino to wear one of those fake red noses from the gremlins hiding out in the back room. She knew they were going for the whole red-nosed reindeer thing, obviously, but it just made him look more like himself: a complete and total clown.

Oh, please, Barry, your entire existence right now was going to be a big fat distraction for Summer, and it was one she was more than happy to have.

Although she was also going to take her time making her way over to him, not only to make sure everyone was good with their drinks before she knew she'd be subjecting to them to Tino for a little while (or possibly for the rest of the night...what? She was just being realistic) and after finishing up at least one more trick for the Tok...

...and maybe just to show off.

And with that done and no embarrassingly broken bottles left in her wake, it was a beaming Summer that bounced over to where he'd sat down with a bright and eager, "Hey, you."

“Someone has been watching too many Tom Cruise movies,” Barry teased. “Still that bounce off the elbow was really good. Just felt like showing off or is this a new requirement for everyone at Caritas.”

The particular waggle of Summer's eyebros suggested that she didn't need him to tell her that the bounce off the elbow was good, but thanks all the same.

"You really want to see Tino try to pull off something like that?" she asked, and, grinning, leaned a little forward on the bar. "I just wanted to show off. I don't know. I'm just in, like, a really good mood this week for some reason..."

And what could that reason possibly be? It was....anyone's guess, really...

"Really? A good mood? I wonder why?" Barry ask mock-thoughtfully as he leaned in closer as well. "And no, there's nothing I want to see Tino try and perform. That way leads to shattered glass and stitches. Plus I'm sure Kitty would not be happy about the overhead."

"I'm sure that's a risk," said Summer, who was certainly not going to let him do all the leaning in and leaned in a little more, her finger making little oh-so-subtle steps across the bar toward Barry's hand, "she's already factored into her cost analysis...

"But enough about Tino, as much as I do love to talk about him and-or generally acknowledge his mere existence....how are you? Anything I can get for you?"

"I am good. Despite finding out your father's leftover fucking lasagna was still in the fridge at the warehouse. And had merged with a certain fucking microbe that was very resistant to being removed and took a high powered radiation burst to remove. And then there was the clean up involved," he said with a sigh. "Just another day in the office really. As for what you can get me..."

Insert wry grin here.

"Let's start off with the shots that you recommend. I feel like it's important to refresh my memory with your handiwork."

"See, and that's where I'm torn," Summer informed him with a grin, "because the best reminder of my handiwork is not something I would actually recommend."

She was also in absolutely no rush to move away from him right at that moment, either.

Barry's ears turned a small tinge of red at that. He gave her hand a little squeeze before saying "Why don't we start off with the shots first and see where it takes us."

"Okay," said Summer, still making no move to go and get those shots, looking over at Barry with her lower lip caught between her teeth and quite possibly forgetting for a moment what they were even talking about. There wa the possibility, she knew, of just having Tino get the shots, but that would be an insult to her shots and she wasn't going to stand for that.

She was definitely going to just enjoy this for a moment before leaning in to kiss him.

So. You know. Start off with that, actually, and then they could worry about the shots...

Oh like he was ever going to refuse that. He did blue screen just a bit for old times sake at the kiss but his recovery time has gotten much better these days.

"Or... you could just bail on work and make Tino do all the work?" he said when he could focus on words again.

"I could never trust my jello shots to Tino," Summer informed him, taking another moment to just appreciate that there could even still be a blue screen even with all the extra...upgrades (a-hem) she'd brought into the hardware over time. "And, I mean, it's not like they're going anywhere...."

Well, it was Fandom, so, actually, they could, but she was pretty sure they would be safe and sound where she left them as she decided maybe one more kiss wouldn't hurt anything...
